3rd hole, National Golf Links of America (L). This week's CC Course. Oh my word. So I set up my second shot comfortable with the backstop behind the hole. Hit my approach, it lands before the hole and rolls past. No worries, I think, it'll roll back, right? Right? What the hell is wrong with this game? How does a ball stop dead on a red slope after trickling a foot towards the hole?

You think that's bad. Check this out: imgur.com/a/ktRq81HBall is 3m from green in the middle of fairway, and the game tells me it is in heavy rough! Apoligies could not work out how to insert the image here.

Almost impossible to discover unless you just happen to stumble across it.

If he had splines his fairway in there and filled it that wouldn’t be there.

Very interesting. I'll try to reach out to the designer to let him know.
I remember the day very well... I had a few frustrating holes and was on the verge of missing the cut. After that shot, I just thought, 'this is def not my day!'
