The first tee. Obviously, there will be more planting along the road, etc.

Well for the first time in a long time, there's an actual prize on offer for the winner of this contest... 36 holes of golf for two people at TPC TorontoPretty damn cool. Big shout out to csugolfer60 for making this happen. Get building!

Time to double the amount of hours I was gonna put in 😂 TPC is only 45 minutes from me, would be very cool to play a top GTA course

Ok, I'm late to the party, but I've just recently downloaded 2K23 and am ready to jump back into the designer after a few years off. Gonna give this a go.

The brief:This is an entirely golf-centered club – nothing except a modest clubhouse is necessary – but there must be a practice facility that is suitable for a PGA Tour event. The practice facility can be outside the course boundary. Clarification question, does this mean we can build the practice facility outside the roads but it has to be in a way that is close to the starting area, or does it mean still needs to be inside the roads, but doesn't need to have any holes going around it?

It does not have to be inside the roads, nor does the club house. The roads are simply temporary (or permanent depending on your design) borders for which the course itself has to fall within. They are just boundary markers for the course. You can end up removing them or moving them as needed.

I've never run into this before. I've deleted a bunch of buildings (most of the new ones) and trees, and I'm starting nearly from scratch planting. I've got the memory down to 84% now. Yikes.

Is this a course you imported from the previous version of the game? That's the only time I have seen a high memory issue. When I try to use a plot I imported it imports at like 150% and removing everything barely gets it to below 100%.

InYourRearviewThe massive memory was mostly due to so many objects from different themes, especially the new buildings. I have a rather large cityscape behind the 17th and 18th holes and I was using any and all buildings. Once I deleted the newer ones, the memory went down to something more manageable. I also deleted a bunch of non-theme trees (not all though) and every grass object. Then I started re-planting with only theme grass. I spent 2 hours planting this morning and the meter didn't go up a single point. I'm wondering about the premade plot being part of it. I've never had this issue before even though I've used whatever objects I feel like. Either way, I've got it under control now which is good because this course is too good to let go.
