The reincarnation of last year’s favourite team based design competition has arrived! As before, it’s a fun side contest not to be taken too seriously (unless you actually want to win) as you face some unique challenges with your teammates. We’re hoping for 5 teams of 4 (but we can accommodate more or change things up as necessary), with a nice long design window of around 4 months to allow this to take place alongside other projects.
Teams will be challenged to create a set of courses (one per person) that are cohesive and share a connecting theme - some examples could include
- a course to host/represent each major
- each course set in the four corners of the United States
- a course somehow based on each of the four elements?
Abstract interpretations such as the last one are fine (encouraged even) but the theme should be easily summed up in a single sentence, and courses should obviously be part of the same set. For guidance, the best interpretation last year was the Fore Horsemen’s project that represented each horseman of the apocalypse.
There will be further challenges to be discussed closer to the start of the contest, but I don’t want to make things too confusing right now!
Sign-ups are now open, but we also need some team captains so let us know if you’re interested in taking on the role and emulating Brandon467’s success in leading his team to victory!
