So just curious if anyone else has noticed any changes in the past few months. I have a friend who is a pretty good player (can normally shoot double digits under par.) Over the past few months, his scores have gotten worse. For instance, we play together in a society, we will play a "practice round" using the same settings as the upcoming society event. He will shoot well. We will then play the society even, and he might shoot -3, or even, or sometimes over par. He said he has tried different controllers (all factory playstation controllers), he's tried calibrating, using a paperclip to reset the controllers, etc. He said what he has noticed is that the vibration / feedback he gets in a private match feels different than what he experiences in a society event. Obviously our practice rounds / private matches are online, and so are the society events, so it is not an Internet Connection issue, or anything like that. He is playing on a PS4, as I am on a PS5. Just curious if anyone else here has experienced any of this recently (I'd say since December or January through now).
Thank you!

I don't really trust society play live. I've seen videos of players putting with wedges. I haven't done it but I have also seen the results of others where there scores are quite good. Try playing a few society events alone and see if the scores get better.

I've gotten worse lately, or the game itself is playing up, or a combination of both. I'm at the point of considering quitting completely because it's just become a frustrating waste of time. The swing is just too inconsistent, both in tempo and plane, and there's always one or two really wacko tempos during a round. Usually at the worst possible time too.

It might be time to replace a controller I've had this happen a few times with this game now

We USED to play society events live, but we have not done so in quite some time (not since I'd guess maybe November / December timeframe). They got to be too laggy. Did not have this issue in PGA 2K21, but playing them together as live ghosts never really worked correctly on this game. So sad to say, all of the rounds I reference previously are him playing alone. I do appreciate you chiming in though, thank you!

It might be time to replace a controller I've had this happen a few times with this game now He has tried a few controllers (again, all factory Playstation ones). I actually got him a new one for Christmas last year (2022 / 2023) and he didn't really use it a lot because he said the thumbsticks felt a bit more loose than his original controller. He has tried recently playing with this controller as well, with no change. Thank you for the replies, I do agree the game can certainly be inconsistent, round to round, day to day at least in my experience.

Hey millertimefl
I find the same thing that I shoot really well in all my practice rounds but once i hit any society I tend to get"stage fright" and don't score as well. I have found by forcng myself into more friendly matches with players who are better than me asa challenge has helped alot. The other one was playing with a connected controller.......big difference.
