Dear TST enthusiasts, The Mexican Championship takes us to El Camaleon - a Greg Norman design (like the IRL PGA stop this week) that offers some scoring opportunities but also some possibilities for ruining your score... mind the bunker!! (you'll know which one I'm talking about once you see it  ) Conditions aren't overly tricky but no pushover either. Overall, a pleasant week in Mexico, I'd say. Have fun and good luck, Frans |

Round 1: -1 (lots of fun playing with honeybadger64 but missing too many putts) Round 2: -7 (love wind!!!) |

Level par first round with a double bogey at the 12th hole with that filthy pin position on 160 greens. Followed by a bogey free 7 under round 2. Will play the rest tomorrow

An eagle, 10 birdies and 2 bogies in round 3. Then an eagle, 7 birdies and 1 bogey in round 4 for a total of -25

-3, -5 = -8 at half.
Less than 40% FIRs (T-85 right now) in 2 rounds. 61% (T-76 right now) GIR. Somehow still around my usual hangout spot on the board despite all that. Swing is the problem, par saves considering that I only got up to 3 bogeys is not.
Oh and I knew that god forsaken bunker existed somewhere on the course and then when I found it on hole 7 hit right into the deep of it. Declared unplayable and just about escaped from the light rough behind. In round 2, landed and stopped on the cart path. Rough of any kind and fairway hitter on the weekend and I complete the bingo!

Having been sabotaged by an invite to play together online Round 1 from Frans where I ended up +1. Got close to and average of -6 for the other three. Note to self, be wary of a Dutchman bearing gifts. Liked the course, only a couple of dodgy pins, proper TST. Usual eagle to double bogey range of scoring. God I love this format, exactly difficult enough for me to enjoy without self-flagellation or twenty under every round.

-6, -1 weekend = -15
Hit the bingo board off the tee on 7: death bunker, cart path, rough of any kind, fairway off that bunker rock.
R3 was fine and acceptable but 30 putts was not it. R4 had 3 bogeys back-to-back-to-back on 3-5 but brought it back under from there. Not a Top Dog with this stuff by any means. Then again, I never really have been so it makes sense.
