Cool thanks. Just played a quick round +4. Wasn't really trying much just getting a feel for the couse. Still amazed designers just plop a bunker right in the middle of the fairway. Or they give you a choice to try a shortcut or clear the water but all it means is if you have favorable winds then you will save a shot or two. Kinda stupid if yu ask me. Falcons was incredibly tough but it wasn't the bunkers or fairway it was the insanely tough greens that made it harder than normal. Wish more people would get that.

Typically in golf, driving the ball is one of the more fun shots and provides a good challenge for us all, but conversely in golf games, driving is probably the most boring and easiest shot. I think the crazy bunkering and abnormal designs for tee shots is to combat this. I like designing courses where the drive isn't just a rip it out there to a wide fairway...make the player sweat a little just like on tougher shots to the green. And I like playing the tough driving courses as well. This doesn't mean just drop a random bunker in the fairway, but drives do need a little spice once in a while, and when done correctly, really adds to the game.

With the tourneys from now on going to have the possibility of high winds I hope that designers will make more expansive fairways where hitting the left, middle or right favours your approach into the green. The green complexes are where the meat and bones of the difficulty should lie for sure.

I set one up too called TGC-US Open at Elmview-PC Practice. It has an unlimited time so you all can play it over and over and over again if you wish.
I think the one up already is a one time only deal.

I think the one up already is a one time only deal. Just shot 4 under in windy conditions in Rd 1, +2 through 9 and blitzed the back 9. Would take that if conditions were the same next week!

Can't seem to shoot better than Even in 14mph winds. Had 11mph winds the second round and shot a -9 so that is something.
