Hi, I just posted my course Cricket swing GC. I´d like to hear any suggestions or advice about it. It´s just my second course, and the first one was prety simple, I wanted to give a little bit more of myself on this one. Hope to heard of anyone soon. Good luck on your tournaments!

Hey Andrew, Just gave it a go. I've got a few comments, but I want to start off by saying that I think the green shaping and your shaping in general is excellent. I think every single green could've been built in the 1920's which really says something. Your plot, however, definitely left something to be desired. To me the course seemed like golden tee meets bay hill meets tpc sawgrass meets macraynor. That is to say a lot of the elements were a little mismatched. For instance, the trees in the beginning part of the round are almost all the same type and color. Variety goes a LONG way, even in a golden-tee-esque course. I think a little more though could be given towards the theme as well. To me, it doesn't really make sense having a snow-covered mountain mere miles away from a nearly dead-flat piece of land. Going back to your greens, while the greens themselves are good, it's also a good idea to put time into EVERYTHING that surrounds them. The surrounding of the green in arguably the most important part of the course. I would also be careful with the width of the fairways. The deep rough is pretty penal in this game, so I think a good rule of thumb is about 40 yards wide in the landing area. Finally, I want to say the course was pretty fun to play. I could already see your stlye developing throughout the round and I hope to see more courses from you soon!

Txs for the time you took! I played the course several times during the making and I always thought that it was someting missing, like if i didn´t feel it was real TGC course. I´ll try to change some of the nature around it to make it fit a little bit more.

To add my 2c worth... The plot does look a little generic with the same trees planted in lines. As stated by aero5k, mix them up to add variety and character. I'm just going to critique the first hole. Make sure you clean out the autogen grasses/bushes. This is on the first hole at the start of the fairway. The bunkers need sculpting and should not cut across surfaces. Your transition from fairway to green should also flow a little nicer. You can see the shape/spline curving around in the front of the green. It should smoothly transition either up to or around the green. Most courses have fairway around the greens for those that don't hit greens otherwise it's very penal. Good luck with the rest of the design!
