Dear TST enthusiasts,
This week we play our Pebble Beach Classic on Poppy Hills; a lovely RTJ course on the Monterey Peninsula. Bit of overnight rain on some days and a bit of a breeze results in a relatively soft course, which helps on the slope greens. Should provide for some scoring opportunities if you can hit it straight.

A few bogeys but managed to avoid disasters in the first two rounds...

10 birdies 2 bogies in round 1 followed by 2 birdies and 1 bogey in round 2 so 9 under at the halfway stage

I'll never be any good at this but I do enjoy me little self. Two under par rounds to kick off to sit at a whopping 3 under at half time. Missed at least 10 putts by a couple of inches. Small margins!!

I’m crap!
-1/+9/-1 so far.
Hate this game. Not sure I’ll play much more of it.
Still love gridless sim golf though. Here’s hoping the next game is better…!

Enjoyed the course! I made the same number (7) of bogeys as pars in R2 but tightened up in later rounds to end with a 10 under.
R1: -3
R2: +2
R3: -5
R4: -4

8 under 3rd round and 5 under last round for a 22 under total. At least I didn't go backwards this week 😂

That tree on 18… hit it not once but twice on hole 72 for a double bogey: 3 iron bang on line to give me an easy eagle chance only for it to just clip the tree and drop down into the bunker and then hit the tree again with the next…. Aaaaarrrggghhh

Well that was my lowest TST tourney with my best round ever. Should have a decent shot at my best finish as well.
R1: -4
R2: -5
R3: -13 (!!!)
R4: -6
Tot: -28
Pretty steady first round with 9 missed putts including 1 three putt for my only bogey. Second round had a hole out and 13 missed putts, only bogey was when i chipped over a green but no three putts. I didn't miss inside of 10 but didn't hit a single 10+ ft putt. Round three was an out of body experience. three hole outs, 4 other missed putts, all of which finished within a few feet of the pin and a few more chips that just missed. I made all of my putts inside 10 ft again but only 1 of 5 (!!!) putts over 10 feet. 58 matches my two lowest ever CC rounds in 2k23 from last year. I only scored 58 or better 5 times in CC in 2K21 so I'm pretty ecstatic with that round. No bogeys on that round either. Last round was closer to earth with my third miss between 6-10ft for the tourney leading to a three putt bogey and pitch with terrible timing leading to my 4th bogey of the tournament. 7 missed putts there to net 33 misses and 3 hole outs.
I was pretty much automatic inside of 10ft this tournament and my three misses were all hard pushes to the left. Couldn't dial in the long puts but left tap ins on my misses. Finally starting to hole out some chips. After 4-5 weeks back in TST, I'm finally reading the greens and avoiding mishits and poor distance control on the greens. Not sure where things will shake out at the end of the week, but currently sitting in 5th on PS which is uncharted territory for me!

First round managed to get to minus six,for me this is unbelievable scoring.
Round two,bogey on the third hole,then bogeyed six,seven and eight.
Four over par after eight holes 😞.
Second shot on the next hole,(hole nine)the ball went into the hole for an albatross 😂😂.
This game is so unpredictable,or i'm so erratic 😄.

-7 and a clean card in R1. Hasn't really happened a lot in these parts, that's nice.
Started R2 with 2 bogeys, fought back to -6. Difference in putting, been pretty lost as to how much to go with in terms of breaks but not getting utterly lost with it here so far. Much closer to being right on the money, meaning the putts are pretty much automatic 2 putts if not better.
To my surprise, ended up as the first winner of the new Talents flight last week (who counts those but it's something!) and looks like the confidence of that achievement has rubbed off into this week as a -13 start is seeing me in a neat spot after 2.

-4, -6 to end at -23.
Okay week, could have been better but my putting is finding good form. If my only 3 putt is from 62 feet that I couldn't hope to read correctly no matter how many minutes I put into it and majority of misses are pretty close, that's pretty solid.
Hmm, could I be a trail blazer again and become the first to promote out of the Talents flight into a realm where I will come back down from real fast?
