Hi all,
I've published the test version for Evian under the name : DoNotPlay-DB-02
Everyone is welcome to play, test and report. The tees used for the championship are mainly the black and white, other tees can be ignored, though compliant to the actual course card. I've set the pins to what I imagine are the good ones for each of the four rounds. The greens are very hilly so the green speed is moderate. Tell me if it's enough or too much.
I would be happy if you focus your attention on weird objects like flying trees or other strange things.
Many thanks to the brave ones.
Dominique

Hi Dominique, I tested it a couple of nights ago and really enjoyed the course. All the cambered lies on the fairways make for an interesting round! I didn't see any floating trees but I did notice that there weren't any panes of water in your streams/waterfalls which looked odd. Green speeds were a bit slow for my liking and felt out of place on a championship course. I would remove the cart path surface from Chad's Tool on all the areas where you aren't going to be putting in buildings. There is a gap in the retaining wall surface to the right of the 5th tee and also the retaining wall runs into the path. Some of your paths could do with being flattened. And finally, if it was me I'd dig the bunkers a bit. LiDAR bunkers seldom come in from Chad's Tool with enough depth or definition and they are a hazard after all so should be penal🤣 Generally though I thought it was a really good job. Have you done any other LiDAR courses in the past? Cheers, Craig

Have you done any other LiDAR courses in the past? Cheers, Craig Thanks for your remarks Craig,
That's my first Lidar course and my first real course with the TGC series. I've done some with the Links series and it was a really heavy work without Lidar, I promise.
I will check all your points. About the green speed, I can raise it a little but, as you saw, they are really bumpy and I must stand with a reasonable amount. For what I saw during the last championship they were not that fast (one thing that cannot be reproduced in 2K23 is that the grass grain always goes down from hill to lake and it's very important for putting at Evian).
Take care.
Dominique

I think I'll get no more feedback, so the course is next to release.
About the bunkers as Craig discussed about that, I think I will let them unchanged as a good part seem really accurate in depth to my eyes. Some other seem rather flat, but I think it's true to real and I will make changes for a future release (I intend to make a "Championship" version) only if someone who plays IRL tells me about.
