had a strange idea.since the designer is limited by objects,you can never seem to add all the vegetation and objects you want without compromising on something.so this dumb idea popped into my head,im doing boston golf club, by gil hanise, its so heavely wooded and thick vegetation,i decided to  publish the front  and back 9 as 2 seperate courses.boston golf club front 9 ,boston golf club back 9.heres some screens shots of the front 9.if you think this is a dumb idea ,speak freely lol!

The only problem I can see is that it won’t be able to be used in societies because you can only use 1 course.
Unless it’s a 9 hole competition.

you are correct,you could set it up as a 2day ,2round ,9 holes each.but i know thats not gona happen.which is ok,i just like having  it in the game to play.would really like to see them upgrade the designer so the limitation was  better.it was better in 2k21.if there worried about server space for the courses.why dont they make it where you can delete multipule versions of courses, and delete courses that dont have any plays.you know the kind im talking about, all the push button random made courses.im only asking for 20% more objects.ive brought over lidar courses from 2k21 and they were at 150%,but they played fine in the designer.so i know the game can handle bigger files.

Yes, it would be great to have bigger designer files.
I think the max size is 10Mb and this seems to be a legacy setting based on having to support old consoles and even Switch.
So now that it’s a “next gen” game surely they can look into it.
A lot of the new assets are also more detailed so are larger in file size consumption.

well ,i guess ill chaulk it up to a failed experiment,there seems to be 0 intrest.so ill not be releasing this as 2 nines .ill just build it as a normal 18 and except the sacrificies that come with the limited designer.the good news is i get to keep this version and play it anytime i want to .really makes me wish for and upgraded designer.2k25!

Just played the 9 holes twice and i must admit: it plays and looks sensational . The lighting is nothing less then perfect and the layout is a blow-out painting. A magnificent design by all standards. You have to make concessions sadly due to the designer limitations but do make a 18 holes 'alternative' to squeeze in as much as you can. I guess its pretty much the same story as with the Pasastiempo course and look how that turned out! Anyway, Boston CC rates as high as the other classics released! ....

thanks blueblood,yes i decided what the heck.ill go ahead and release it ,so someone else can enjoy also.it will be awhile  before the other 9 is finished,but i will get to it.

Really liked the x2 par 3s, holes 6 & 8, and the short 4 no. 5. They were the standouts at Boston GC.

skunky123 , I absolutely LOVE the job you did on this course! It's my "Go-To" course when I just want to play a quick 9. I alone probably account for 1/2 the total plays on this course.

Really looking forward to the back 9!

Hi skunky123 , this caught my eye as I live 15-20 mins away from BGC.

Even if it's heavily wooded you should be able to put out 18 holes. You just have to be judicious with your treelines and grass planting. Not easy of course, but doable. I will try to take a peek and see if I can pick up on anything that might help you.
