Hi all, if you've seen any of my posts you'll know that I really struggle with master clubs, had a lot of advice which I'm grateful for, but I wondered if any controller is better for use on PC. I'm currently using an X Box one controller. Thanks for any replies. Ken (Ernie Yells)

Ken (Ernie Yells) I believe someone told you on another thread, some people are using wired Razer controllers or you could try a PS controller on your PC. Failing that I think you said you had used a mouse at one point. Edit: I’m using a Razer Wolverine V2 on my series x and it’s way more consistent than my original x box or Elite series 2 wireless controllers I’ve also used it on my PC/Laptop and it’s just as consistent

Ken (Ernie Yells) Seriously most of your tempo problems are down to that Xbox One controller, I found a massive difference in tempo consistency when I first switch to the Dual Shock 4, I used all Xbox controllers before this, 360,Xbox one and Series X controllers . Both Sony Dual Shock 4 and Dual Sense 5 are very good for this game. My personal favourite is the Razer Wolverine V2 Chroma, the non Chroma version is good but I struggle on swingplane with it . If you use left stick for swing the Razer controller will suit you more as it is the same layout as an Xbox controller.

The Chroma version has a louder noise when you hit the plastic when swinging forward and back. The neck of the thumbstick is metal on the Chroma and plastic on the non Chroma, maybe that's why they sound different. The Chroma suits my swing action and I now I feel have control of my swingplane. Tempo wise pretty much the same on both controllers.

Horses for courses and funny old game and all that. Both miles ahead of the crappy XB controller.

I use a Dual Sense 5 and still like it. One minor problem for me is a natural tendency to swing from 5 oclock to 11 oclock position with it, making everything favor going left. I never thought until reading this comment, that that could be fixed by using left stick vs right stick for swing.
EDIT: Since I have more of a tendency to swing fast, with that swing plane , everything starts left then curves way left sometimes. (right handed) With my old Xbox controller, which I guess was left stick, this didn't happen, it was more of a thing where my shots started right, then curved left, bringing them back to the center. Basically, I was playing the hook or fade perfectly, whichever one it is. But just thinking, as I had never thought of this. interesting!

I've done right-stick swing, and in the past few days went from Xbox (old, busted, didn't past the signal check) to a Dual sense, and I almost always go from 630 -> 1230 and frequently end up hitting a little draw...when it works. Doesn't always work.
