Hot Air Balloon placement?

I've placed a balloon in a location at the plot boundary. I thought it would have been relatively in the same position in the sky at the beginning of each round.
It's either unseen, way off on the visible horizon, or guesstimating that it only appears where I want 10% of the time.
With the meter approaching 100% it's difficult to use a seemingly random asset.
Is there a way to lock it's launch point, is it random, or am I doing something unintentionally wrong?

only think i know it moves from left to right or vice versa also need clear trees for it to appear this all i know . the air assets are tricky to use if am honest .

It has an area it circulates in, like a cycle.If it is too far away most of the time try deleting it and placing it more central over the property.It should run its cycle in the initial place you plant it.
