Searching by designer

Is there a way, on 2K23 on PS4, to search for courses based on the designers name?

Nope...there's never been a way to search by designer's name (as far as I can recall), but you used to be able to see a designer's entire course portfolio.

I think TGC 2019 was the last one that allowed you to see all courses from a specific designer in one place, by using a "Courses by Designer" filter or something. Not sure why they took it out...it was a nice feature to have.

If the designer you like designs on PlayStation you could always send a friend request, then all the designs will show up under friends courses. If there designs are made on xbox or pc will not work but its a nice option to have seeing friend designed courses. It is a little better these days because the name of the designer can be seen on all systems unlike previous games when it was not shown. 

Like many things over the years in the TGC brand no idea why designer's other courses were removed,a bit like Hole flyover's.

You could start here or you could look through the completed courses thread and check out their started threads. Rarely will you find good designs looking in the recently added area in the game itself. There are a few dozen guys who rarely produce anything but top courses once in a great while you might run into a new designer just starting out. Check out the contests.

I occasionally find gems in the “highly rated” section in game but typically just use the completed course section on here as there’s photos and you can see what’s worthwhile playing

Unfortunately some of these guys have more pressing matters these days.
