Hi all, I posted a few weeks ago saying that since the last steam update to the game my graphics had become really "jerky" and asked if there was any way to correct them.
inflames 47 very kindly responded saying the best I could do was uninstall and re-install the game on steam.
I have done this 3 times but the problem still persists and its driving me bananas !!! especially when I am just about to take a swing.
I'm asking again for any suggestions and appreciate any help.
Many thanks Ken (Ernie Yells)

It would be helpful to know what setup you use and what your graphics settings are in-game. That would give us a better idea of what the issue might be.

Make sure your video card/s (yes plural) drivers are the latest versions. About the card/s, if you are on a Laptop (some PCs have 2 too)many of them have a no frills video card for generic rendering and a 2md card for things like gaming. Somewhere in your video card settings you will have a Radeon or Nvidia app that has an option to make sure it is switching to the better card or using it full time. This article on UbiSofts site should show you how www.ubisoft.com/en-us/help/connectivity-and-performance/article/switching-to-your-pcs-dedicated-gpu/000081045If it's still jerky adjust the settings in the game lower

I would also say is the choppy gameplay from framerate dips(check your framerates). The beauty with PC gaming you can troubleshoot problems. Also what is ambient room temperature, what are your CPU and GPU temps. Internet ping etc, there are many ways to troubleshoot.

Many thanks to all for the replies, unfortunately it all sounds like double dutch to me. I'm 75 and not very computer literate, but thank you all for taking the time to respond.

Many thanks to all for the replies, unfortunately it all sounds like double dutch to me. I'm 75 and not very computer literate, but thank you all for taking the time to respond. There are several options for you, since you are not computer savvy. I would say you need to clean out some files and run a registry clean program. I can send you the information for the best free programs out there to do so. If you wish to private message me I can try to help as best I can. We can actually talk on discord channels and I can walk you through the process if you like. Inflames

It will give you all you information about your pc and hardware. You can take a screen shot by pressing your print screen button and pasting into Microsoft paint, save and post here. Sounds difficult for those who are not familiar, but we are here to help you.

In game try lowering settings. Particular the object detail one. Now this may not be the case with this version of the game but worth a try.
I remember years ago one of the HB devs explained (back when they were allowed to interact with humans) the object detail slider is not a 1 point increment in hit to resouces used. It was more like a %. So if you had it at 50% it would take way more resources than needed and probably not noticeable.
On my old system I have mine way down. Like at 15 or something. Sky detail is lowered, grass detail lowered. Can't remember where I have it all set. But you may want to try and fiddle with the ingame graphics settings a bit. I also have AA turned off. Frame rate set to 60. I don't notice much graphical loss and get steady 60 fps. A compromise on my end, but has to be done.
