Looking forward to getting back in the contest saddle, so why not something in Montana or Wyoming for inspiration?

Is that you on the horse? I see a guy fishing. Where’s the horse? 😂

Ah, I obviously need glasses. My mind saw a guy walking towards me on a horse. If you look closer, he's got his back to us and fishing. lol I saw this...

I've got a plot built for my major entry, and an idea for the front nine climbing the mountain just a tad so that it allows a view of the rest of the course on the way back down, with more of the back nine taking advantage of the prairie and the river basin.
Hoping to take inspiration from Doak a bit with his Rock Creek Cattle Company in terms of using the land that's there, but I don't want to copy the sectional feel too much the way it goes from ranch to mountain to open spaces and creek. My vision is probably more open overall, planning a very early ascent up the mountain in the routing to provide a foreshadowing of what's to come by bringing the player back down in elevation no later than hole 3 or 4.
Taking a bit more from Doak on the routing aspect, I'll peruse the plot from a ground level and locate interesting green sites and mark those off, and see if I can find a routing that creates a journey through the plot without using the creek as a visual crutch too often.
I don't think I've ever planted anything with this style before either, so taking a bit of a risk on that as well. This will be a lot "scrubbier" than your typical VctryLnSprts design.
