That puts into perspective just how small Northern Ireland is. I'm on the road a fair bit for work and when I have to drive an hour to get somewhere I'm raging lol Yeah funny I meant to mention that HDR thing. I'm fairly certain that used to be locked off on performance mode on Xbox. Unless I maybe just didn't enable it because the HDR on my old monitor wasn't up to much. I think it makes the stream look a little washed out but it's nice on the TV for sure and - maybe my imagination - I felt I could read the greens better with it enabled. I got the LG C2. I've had it a few months now and love it. I have the LG C2 42 inch for my PC, changed from an IPS 4K 400 nits HDR monitor. I had a stuck pixel and argued the case with Amazon that I am not accepting dealing with manufacturer so they gave me a refund. Paid about £150 more than the monitor price.for the C2 and picture quality in games and movies is on another level to the IPS screen. You have to be carefull with a PC on an OLED as burn in issues on a static screen but I do look after it. The auto dimming protection can be a bit annoying but I don't spend long hours on the desktop. I like the TV so much I bought the 55 inch LG C2 for the lounge and got an amazing deal for £800, that's £250 less than the 42 inch cost me. Regarding HDR calibration for XBox there is an option to calibrate for games in the console's menu. I set 2K23's HDR brightness setting to 234 and I find a big improvement over the more washed out SDR setting. You don't need to calibrate the C2's HDR settings I find and it switches automatically to game optimiser when playing games which is great and has Gsync and Freesync. I have calibrated it for SDR content as I wasn't happy with the factory settings, there are great YouTube guides if you want to do that. I have the exact same setup haha bought a 55 inch for the living room and then got jealous of it and wanted the 42 for the spare room for the console! I'm really happy with it as well. Was a hell of a jump from my £160 BenQ monitor I was using. Stuff like that Dead Space remake especially really shows off the lighting and HDR. I'd heard about burn in and OLEDs but I have the same thing set up where it dims occasionally and flushes the screen I think. I don't normally get mammoth sessions so my biggest worry there is things like the score on football matches burning in but again I don't think it'd be long enough and hopefully(!) the software helps

Might be my phone but the image isn't loading in for me. You were still right in it after two (based on Xbox scoring)

Thinking about taking a step back from the game again and maybe just playing the odd round here and there in TAN and Sanctuary. Nothing about the game - I love it on these settings - I just think playing these since TGC2 has caught up with me a little and Forza Motorsport and Starfield will take up all my gaming time in a few weeks. hammers1man and longpole you guys are admins on the Xbox society if you want to keep it going / adjust the format / make it your own thing feel free but obviously don't feel in any way obligated. At the very least that was a really fun few weeks (and still a couple of events set up) that showed the game can be fun and realistic on these settings. I think I've just hit my limit in terms of enjoyment unfortunately. Thanks for trying it out though and I think everyone who played enjoyed these settings. Cheers!

I understand totally, I have free time after 6 weekdays but tiredness hits. There is also the problem of another 4 rounds when others play a lot of golf on this game already. I do struggle getting TAN and ST rounds in each week. I will take it over if it's ok with Neil and yourself. But I will change the format to 2 round 7 day events. I will also be making it 8 round seasons with major for week 8 with +50% points. I have a points system in place that is the exact same as my real life society which has 40 members playing each week and 8 tournaments each year. It will be fun I am sure most interested in playing can manage 2 rounds each week. I think it's important to have a scratch legend society as Charles has made TAN handicapped competitions. Which is understandable as he wants all members to be competitive. Also TAN will be following the real life schedule, ST will be curated courses that play realisticly. I will change the next course and it will be the start of season 1.

We got 1 more day for merion so we can delete the events tonight or tomorrow and start fresh.

Round 2 I really struggled on those 117 greens, a bogey, bogey ,bogey finish was so frustating. Just missed the screen shot of my scorecard. Round 3 so much better, I would say this is the best I have played on legend so far. My course management was spot on as was my whole game tee to green and putting apart from 1 hole. On 15 a simple chip I was just too aggressive, tricky 6 footer resulted in 4 putts (annoying as I was putting so well), my fault was way too aggressive in the putting also. Fantastic approach to 18 with a long iron which lipped out, easy tap in birdie though. Love the game on these settings the game plays so well, would love TST set up like this next year it would be awesome. I see people on these forums consistently slag off the graphics in this game and I am proper graphics snob so if it looks bad I will say it does, RT all the way for me and I never hold back on visual settings. This game can look stunning at times. On console performance mode Screen Space Global Illumination is switched off which is a big loss for lighting in this game also we have a fog quality and shadow setting on PC which at times makes courses look really fantastic though it is GPU heavy. You have that early morning mist and sunlight beaming through the trees, on Merion it just looks fantastic with HDR you just don't get the same effect on a screenshot. The lighting settings for round 3 made this course look so good.

As you say it's nice having the handicapped and scratch societies and Sanc is an Xbox mainstay I've just found lately any other rounds I play I'm sighing and huffing and puffing just from playing too much. Eight week seasons sounds good!

Eight week seasons sounds good! The problem having too many societies and rounds to play it all becomes a chore just to get all the rounds in, then your not enjoying it like you should be. Like yourself I will be playing Forza Motorsport, I didn't like Horizon as it is an arcade racing game. Dirt Really and Dirt Rally 2 are my favourite racing games. As I am a huge sci fi fan, love authors like Peter F. Hamilton and Alastair Reynolds so a game like Starfield is right up my alley. I completed Fallout 3 and New Vegas and all the DLC so I do like those those types of RPG. Elite Dangerous appealed to me but never got round to playing it, though I did buy a hotas flight stick just for it. It's good that Game Pass has cross save on PC and Xbox as I might dabble with Starfield on both platforms. Managed to beat Celeste on Sunday finally, what a great game it is. Noticed it has just come to game pass also.

Sorry folks been M.I.A for a few days. So I think we're business as usual on Simulation Tour on Xbox with Passions of Essex up currently and then heading to the Belfry. Not too sure whether we're able to get the events on Xbox and pc just because of society slots and profile limits BUT Hammersman has set up True Sim Legend Tour on all platforms with a two round event each week starting at Hill Head (I think). longpole always a pleasure playing Essex mate I think it's a brilliant design.

I will post up the Merion final leaderboard later when I am home from work

It's a lot of hassle for you to check settings and duplicate over a few platforms if we aren't getting the interest. It's easy enough for me to just put up a rcr each week for LP me and a few other guys on Xbox to blast through. Enjoyed your societies first event this weekend. Looking forward to the season!
