I have a list of courses that I check on from time to time to see when the LiDAR is updated so that it matches the images of the current configuration of the course, Chicago GC is "the Oldest 18 Hole Course in the US" and was one of the courses on my list, the data here was very recently updated and I dropped 4 projects to work on this one. The grasses have been planted, several hole's bunkers have been taken from LiDAR canyons (see the last picture) to flattened, each hole takes about 1.5 - 2 hours to do the bunkers. On previous versions of the course there was some conflict or comments made on here about the surfaces next to the fairways not being accurate, that it should have been deep rough so using sources like The Fried Egg, Golf Digest and the fellas I rely on for advice, we determined to use just fairway and heavy rough. 16 on the fairways are 25 or more wide (at 300 & 328 yards) which is the minimum for approval and the other 2 holes are easily fixable. Most of the holes are 35 to 48+ yards wide.

EDIT: I need to walk back the part about the LiDAR being updated, there was no LiDAR for the course. I did things a little backwards from what I normally do, I had started doing some of the spline work on OSM first, I got to wondering why no one had ever done a LiDAR version, I checked and there was none.
