 Old Kennebunk River is my entry into the 2023 World Cup of Design. The initial idea was based heavily on Cape Arundel in Maine with a winding river and its tributaries bisecting the plot, however this has turned more into a classic golden age course with flat-bottom bunkers and some fairly bold greens. You'll find push-up greens, sunken greens, bolder fairway contouring than my usual and hopefully it'll keep you thinking throughout, although it's fairly short so you can definitely make a score out there. It's a plot and environment I'm really happy with despite being fairly understated, and I think the golf itself is the best I've done so far.

This track is an absolute treat! So many things here to like. The flat bottom bunkers were very well done, the waterways were used in interesting and varied ways while not being over-used, and the course had a good flow to it. Excellent job on the environment as well. I think you pretty much nailed what you were going for! The subtle use of camber to add difficulty and strategy was also excellent 👍🏻. Insta-favorite and a 5 star from me great job!

Loved so much of this course. The greens are your best and they feel very natural. Routing is phenomenal, love the area around the river with the four greens nearby each other. Environment is low key but really good. Agree with other comments that it’s great to see you push your design creativity a bit more and your bold ideas worked really well. Really well done!

Stunning course with the interaction with the rivers around the course.
Yet, not a willow to be seen. Outstanding bunkers and a great experience.
