It seems now that any kind of fast swing will usually put you 20 yards past the hole. This is causing me to take all kinds of weird swings and miss the cut by one trying to avoid this. I try to swing so fast that the computer has no time to calculate tempo and I have a perfect swing. I can complete my swing in 1/4 of a second. Sometimes I swing with no backswing on purpose and sometimes I have no downswing on purpose, in order to not have a fast swing.

It has now been brought to my attention that all clubs do not have the same swing timing? I always thought there was no difference.

Yep, you want to check the fittings and attributes pages, as well as your archetype. You can customise things a lot. If you want tempo, go for the Rhythm archetype and work from there. Save your fittings and exchange them until you get the orange ones and you can usually get up to 100 in whatever attribute you prioritise.

I have sacrificed distance for timing and swing path. Start with the Rhythm archetype like b101 has suggested and concentrate on timing and swing path club parts. Get those up to 95-100 and you will have a lot forgiveness in your grey area and white zone. When I made the change I started making most of my cuts.
