S9 - Week 33 - Highlands Challenge

Over the next five weeks, I’ll take you to Sweden, Spain, Ireland, Scotland and England (for THE Open).

Ridiculously busy week, so no boring golf; this week it’s ghostless speed golf with fast putt reading without second guessing the line. Proving to be very entertaining so far… 😂😂😂

Long time lurker, finally have a reason to post. I've been grinding my ass off the last month or so and played absolutely out of my mind this tournament. R1 was a bogey free -5 with 13 missed putts including a 4ft and 6ft. Rd 2 was a -9 with one bogey and only 8 missed putts. R3 was another -5 with a normal for me 10 missed putts including a 3putt par that started 7ft from the hole...R4 was a -8 with 13 missed putts again including a 3ft miss for par. I did manage to hit all 18 greens that round.

No clue where this came from as I have been middle of the pack in Hogan all season. Added some distance to my driver and that seemed to help with easier approaches. Can't be too mad with the missed short putts since I drained a 40+ft eagle and a few more over 18ft.

I don't play TST too often as it puts too many rounds a week on my schedule but my long game feels good at the moment so a golf marathon today.
I did what I normally never do play more than a round or 2 but as I was hitting the ball well so I played 2 USE rounds and all 4 TST round in one go. Currently 4th on the PC leaderboard so am doing something right. Really chuffed with the final round 62 as I played some really good stuff and my medium and long putts were very good for all 4 rounds, though had quite a few horseshoes this week.

So after blowing up in Elite for another awful week, here I am again. Here to try and keep up appearances, collect FedEx points for long run at the playoffs hopefully and still hang in there as the top guy with no top 10s to his name this season, but 15 top 25s out of 32 events for... 25th overall? M'kay then.

Oh right, there was an event and I played in it, wasn't there? So, first half of this week huh...

Blow up commences even harder with a low -1 in round 1. It's like I totally forgot to play. Why? And then just as about my sanity is about to take another savage blow...

Well guess what, -10 in round 2 and all of a sudden I know how to play again with a sweet partial flop shot hole out on the 15th hole too. Okay then, back in the thick of the field we are again.

So -11 at the half which... well what a ride this has been so far!

Finished -4 -2 for -17 for the week.

Pissed off. 4 putt to start round 4 because the breaks make no sense and then a 3 putt where the ball slides twice over the hole and won't drop, without even lipping out at all. Whatever I suppose, I just suck while pretending to be any good. Rant on the topic of my own awful skill over, bring on next week's mediocre adventure for this guy.
