I learned to do this in 2k21 from following advice in this forum. Just tried to remove a crowd placed recently in the 2k23 designer and it’s not happening.
maybe i’m leaving out a step?
on a keyboard/mouse setup:
Use the crowd tool as if you were placing a crowd but just hover over the existing crowd and click R for reset objects. Poof, crowd is gone.
Right?
They changed some keyboard assignments in 2k23, did something replace R? I’ve made a bunch of guesses but didn’t get lucky.

Thanks for replying. Undo in 2k23 is Ctrl+Z and it disappears from the options list when you activate the crowd tool. I tried it anyway but no luck. Undo was U in 2k21, i tried that just for kicks (didn’t work) but it wasn’t the button to delete a crowd in ‘21 designer either, lol. We used R in ‘21 and that is not working for me in ‘23, I had already tried the obvious stuff like Delete or Back while hovering over the crowd, so i just now tried every letter and number on the keyboard and a few other keys too! Maybe it’s a combination of keys? I’m not planning to try all of those.  Anybody on keyboard know the secret to deleting a crowd in ‘23 designer? This isn’t one of those things they haven’t fixed yet, is it? |

If I remember rightly mattf27 has said you may need to do this with controller rather than keyboard? |

There isn’t an delete button I can find. |

Funny they don’t put in the thought into keyboards. I don’t know how anyone can design with a controller. Maybe I’m just old. HB generally hasn't been particularly thorough in their development processes in the past, and I think its as simple as "no one on their development team uses M&K so no one thought to look at it." It took me a full project to get used to it, but I've done okay with the switch to controller, even if I don't think I'm great at designing on one either. It definitely still feels clunky at times. |
