ChatGPT for EPSG Values

If you have not tried it, use ChatGPT to get your EPSG value. Make sure you ask it to list all values for the address you need. It worked for me just now and saved me HOURS of searching and trying different values.

This worked for me. Needed to ask for accurate EPSG, otherwise it just gave a very generic code.

I got this to work getting LIDAR of a "Random" plot of land (Mount Rainer)!

I asked CHAT GPT " give me the real EPSG projection value for LIDAR data taken of Mount Rainier National Park"

It basicaly said "i'll need morre information, like the coordinate reference system (CRS), or UTM (Universal Transverse Mercator).

The meta data report I had listed the UTM as "10N" so I responded with "UTM zone 10N"

If the LIDAR data for Mount Rainier National Park is in UTM Zone 10N, the corresponding EPSG code would be EPSG:32610. This code represents the coordinate reference system using the WGS 84 datum and the UTM projection with Zone 10 and Northern hemisphere.

So, for LIDAR data in UTM Zone 10N for Mount Rainier National Park, you can use EPSG:32610 as the appropriate EPSG code.

Plugged that into Chads tool and got this! All my googling previously yielded nothing.
