Dear TST enthusiasts,
I’m taking you to Chisolm Trail CC. Heavily inspired by the original 1936 layout and Gil Hanse's renovation master plan of Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, TX.
Should provide a nice challenge with some tricky pins - beware of hole 2 in round 2.

Round 1: -9
Solid start based on bogey-free boring golf; stepping away from the PS now to make sure I don't get tempted to "go for it" in round 2.
Will play that later this week.

Did not sink a single putt of consequence except for return par putts. Everything sliding by, short, through the break or not enough break. One of those weeks. -20 total...ordinary.

A couple of weeks later than promised but back on the TST circuit. I played my USE round a couple of days ago and my tempo was just giving me very fast for so many shots, it felt completely off and I hit +11, recalibrated same thing on the driving range. Got back to the game today for my second USE round had to learn a newer slower tempo. TST 1st round tempo was very good but the putter was red hot, holed a lot of longer putts and amazingly find myself joint top of the TST PC leaderboard after round 1. If I can keep my longer game consistent I have a good feel for these green. Nice course Frans, really enjoyed it.   |

Round 2: -7
Careless double bogey on the front nine but repaired some of the damage with a solid bogey-free boring golf back nine.

Round 2 a bit of a grind in the wind, managed a 68 to be tied 2nd on the PC leaderboard on -8. I will take that as that's top 15 on the cross platform Leaderboard  |

-5, -4 start for the first 2 rounds for -9. Looking real good so far, chance to push for my best TST finish this week.
Driving and finding greens in time has been... well, not good. 50% FIR, 61% GIR in round 1 but 24 putts, meaning recovery and scrambling has been fine. Got some shots close and putter's been better than usual from long.
Round 2... 43% FIR, 50% GIR. 22 putts. I hear some things about hole 2 pin for this round but... I dunno, I either got real lucky for par or I'm just that good since that was not the worst one I ended up seeing. I putted off the green somewhere else (hole 7) for bogey!
Just surviving this week so far, I guess that works pretty well for once!

I'm considering moving from CC to TST (a different challenge), any help will be appreciated (ATM +12 after 2 rounds without understanding that there is a PIN CAM that maybe I can use) Thank you! Roberto PS I tried to sign up for a TST card but I already had it (3 events in 2015/16 ) |

There were a few weeks there where it just wasn't fun - it was a "me" issue with tempo mostly, but still needed to step away for a bit. CC is kind of doing the same, but hoping at least playing those helps me work through my issues. |
