Hi All, with Doyley sunning himself in Florida I thought I'd create an unofficial version of his thread.
Explorer Ridge is probably the easiest course I've played on the tour so far and the scores are showing that too. How has everyone done?

I had one hell of a strange week on the tour. Practice rounds were going well and I had confidence of shooting in the very low 60s. Here's how my rounds went -
Round 1 - Disastrous start to the round with a bogey on the 1st and the 5th. I was only -1 at the turn. When you wait all week to start your round and that happens it's very demoralising. I almost wanted to give up. I stuck with it and managed 7 birdies, 1 eagle and 1 par on the back 9. I was happy with the 62 (-10)although I just thought how good the round could have been if I'd been with it for the first 9.
Round 2 - This started much better than round 1 and I birdied the 1st and 5th. However even though my driving and approach play were good; my putting was awful. At one point it looked unlikely that I was going to make the cut. I managed to scrape round in 65(-7) and I'm confident that will make it thought to the last 2 rounds.
Round 3 - This was a very solid round with birdies spread throughout. It also included a 100+ yard hole out. Unfortunately I 3 putted from 4 feet on one of the holes where the pin position was on a big slope. Another 62(-10) put me in a confident mood to play my last round. By this time wind was below 5 MPH, previously it had still been low but up towards 10mph.
Round 4 - My best round of the 4, the round went very well. I finished with 6 straight birdies and a round of 61(-11)
I'm very happy with -38 for the tournament even though it's an easy course. It should end up being my highest finish beating the 61st place at the South Georgia classic.
It could have been even better though. I could have easily been well into the -40's. I didn't take advantage of the short par 5's and par 4's throughout the rounds to add to my woes I've already talked about.
Sorry for the long post, I'm so wrapped up in the tour right now!

Nice course to play, very realistic. Played my practice rounds and shot about -8 to -10 under. Even with 8 to 10 mph winds, I managed to shoot -8 under in rounds 1 and 2. Still probably not good enough to make the cut though. I think I might just miss it by a few strokes.

From 9th place last week to not making the cut this week. That will teach me for not practising the course. Could not get used to the greens. Left so many puts out there. Ah well lesson learnt
