Hi guys, I'm currently creating a template course to help me get a greater understanding of the strategy of the game and of course also to help pick out what holes could be based on when playing. Take a look at my pic and please feel free to comment and give opinions on what I could do better. I have 5 holes so far and I will add photo's as other holes are completed until I'm finally finished.
Take a look!!!

Always good to see people looking at templates. A few thoughts:
1) you can't change that light rough texture quickly enough 2) try to widen the fairways. If you look at the Raynor/MacDonald courses, fairways are often generous to allow those angle plays. 3) Keep looking at bunker sculpting and shaping - they're a bit of a mix of shapes (e.g. the rectangle on the Road - which I'd lose for strategy in any case) and you want something consistent. As for the sculpting, make sure to create a low side so that you don't have to bump the back up so much. If you do raise the back, smooth that sculpting out and into the fairway (see the triple bunkers on your Narrows and how they have those ridges behind them. 4) as for specifics, make sure there's a reason for the wall on the Road and I'd probably want the Narrows pinching a bit more gradually on both sides the further you go.
Enjoy - templates are a lot of fun.

Excellent, thankyou for the input. The light rough texture will not stay, it's purely there for me to move around the bunker for similar distances from the fairway. (probably should have changed that for photo's) The wall for the road hole will likely be the car park as I go along. The rest of you comment I'll be taking on board for sure. Thanks again b101.
