Wasn't Ball Squirt in TGC1 because when i used to play with smurf and bryan and scuffy they used to be on about it alot, seems so long ago now that. You're right Yeltz. It 1st appeared in TGC 1 and that's when HB denied it existed and then eventually Anthony Kyne admitted it was there.

i only played 2K21 and 2K23
2K21, I like the ability to read the greens better in True Sim, compared to 2K23
2K21 master level more difficult than 2K23
2K23 is a pleasure to play,IMHO for me the most important thing, the ball flight dynamics is excellent, when you hit, you immediately understand whether you shot well or badly
graphics with RTX DLSS is very good.
master level is a little easier than 2K21,
for me it's a spectacular golf game, TGCTours gives one more reason to compete and improve.
2K21 7.5/10 2K23 9/10
sorry for my poor english language

Is Scruffy Still around on PlayStation last time i spoke he was going through a few problems, I was wondering the other day about him he used to love the daily's on ea sports and complain about game and certain players (never laughed so much when he started)
Those days playing with you 3 on tgc1 great nights even through i was about 3-4 levels below you three really happy times. When you think how easy it was to set a game up with friends on tgc1 auto join, recent games have gone backwards.

Yeah the TGC 1 days were undoubtedly TGCs glory days. The game was so simplistic in its lay out and the gameplay had a great and fair learning curve to it. Met alot of great lads playing TGC 1 that I still talk to now. This place was great for a few years too. Had a great time competing against to top players and top people. I'm recently bought the EA golf game and I'm enjoying it so that's where any golf video gaming of mine will be done in the near future

TGC1 10/10
Didn't get any better than that even if there was only 3 firmness settings, with the firmest acting like an ice rink. The fact that you could create a tour using as many courses as you wanted without having to wait a day to play the next round and it was playable on all 3 systems with the same settings was great to set up.
Can't believe it was over 7 years since the first Q school, then all the drama with Boom Boom and weekly 10+ pages of threads for events, even if they were mostly about illegal pins or Canucked greens. Had fun times with all the banter, especially with the 1st Ryder Cup.....easily the best event that was ever held on this site.
Glad to see the site is still going strong after all these years, probably less babysitting by Tim, Scott and Jeff though judging by the activity on the PGA and Euro threads.
Thanks for the memories.

TGC 1 were Good days i wonder what happened to this course (challenge ) in games after.
Anybody remember what the best score was at the end of it did anybody ever score a Par..Great to see the name Biggins there my favourite fictional designer there (with reeb),i wonder how good his courses would have been if he would have carried on designing that bloke was a genius in tgc1 with his designs.

TGC2 is the best. It’s the only version where I really had to make big decisions off the tee. Even the best would make a mistake and end up in trouble. It made the tournaments exciting and these boards were buzzing then. The next versions could never recapture the excitement.

and these boards were buzzing then. Have you checked the TGCT Discord or Discord in general? While certainly more dispersed, some of the activity has migrated there. You definitely made a valid point, though. The forums were fun back in the TGC2-days. Edit: while I'm here, I can also contribute to the topic... TGC - (not played) TGC2 and TGC2019 - 6/10 (I only have vague memories, but I enjoyed playing both) 2K21 - 8/10 (being able to calibrate has been a huge plus for me as a mouse player) 2K23 - 9/10 (adequate gameplay improvements, fittings help adapting the game to your strengths and weaknesses, I don't really care about graphics) Obviously, all these ratings are from the perspective I have now. I definitely would have given each iteration a 9/10 while it was the newest available.

You are correct, he also did a brilliant Open style Course so ahead of his time for what the designer offered, A mention also to Taste GW a bit like Arctic not my style of courses but some of the things he did with the designer just outstanding.

TGC 1 -9/10 Wasn't a perfect golf game, but the fun we had was fantastic TGC 2 9/10 Once again still a great, fun experience TGC 2019 8/10 I believe this is when waterfalls were introduced...we were all so excited 2K21 5/10 Just never could get consistent with the swing and it took the fun out of it 2K23 6.5/10 The swing mechanic might be a bit better, I think the gameplay is pretty good, LOVE the putting, game engine needs to be updated (graphics and textures still need a lot of work) and there needs to be more for the designers. Thinking back I really do miss TGC 1...we all had the same swing and it came down to course management and knowing what shots to hit. I almost feel like we should just go back to the basics sometimes, get rid of the swing timing and everyone could be in one HUGE league...no more tiers...all course management...I don't know...just reminiscing and thinking back to 2014 and all the Doyley matches we would all watch...oh the memories
