Hello everyone. I just bought 2k23, am new here and need some help please. Looking through the course database on this site, I found many courses that I want to “favorite” and play but when I went to add them in the game there were several that I couldn’t find, including some that are 2k23 courses. I’d appreciate some help.
Also, is there a way to contact a designer? There’s 1 specific course that I love and looks great here but has only 1 pin location and they’re impossible. I’d really like to find a way to add more pins because I really do love the course.

Only thing I can add is it seems the names of courses have to be entered just right in order to show up. Other than that I wonder if some get taken down, not sure.

Lots of courses have slightly different names to avoid any potential copyright issues.
The Designer area of the forum helped me find lots of courses.
Brew Crew Real Ale and True Sim Tour use lots of real courses so is also a good place to find them.
There are loads once you start digging around.
Once you find them, favourite them in 2k23, so you have them to hand. I've got 50 or so great actual courses saved in my favourites. Major courses, exclusive courses etc. Some courses get taken down occasionally but if you have them as favourites, you keep them.
Lidar courses are worth searching for. Just type Lidar into the search and it will bring up loads. In case you don't know, they use the radar data of the topography to get all of the correct distances and elevation etc.
There are lots of good designers. Yeltzman, BaconJunkie1, theclv24, b101 and Paddyjk19 all do great courses. There will be plenty of others.
You just need to dig a bit in the right places.

What's the course name perhaps if it was made on PC they might share the course file,if it's one pin good chance it was built for the Simulator play on TGC2019 can't think of a reason why it would be one pin on this site.

It’s “Kiawah (Ocean) [PGA ‘21]”. The designer was “Style”. He/she did a brilliant job on the course itself, overall it’s magnificent! However, the pin on literally every hole was placed on the very precipice of a steep fall off so that even on very short putts, if you miss, the ball will roll all the way off the green, frankly and sadly making it unplayable. I’m a casual player in the game on my PS4 so while I do want it to be challenging, I want to have fun. The Ocean Course is 1 of my favorites so I’d really like to be able to play it an enjoy it. |

I just played this with the green speeds at slow (not 8.4) and it played perfect i feel, maybe slow the greens down on course selection (if there too fast for you) and its very enjoyable, I am assuming its the pin positions from the 2021 pga championship, also all 4 pin sets are there not just one set you change the pin selection just above your golfer when setting it up. For new players putting in 2k23 all about feel takes a little practice especially downhill putts.  |

I know that you’re 1 of the most respected designers on here. Do you have a list of your courses somewhere? I think the 1 thing missing from the course search is “by designer”, unless I missed that as well. Also would you happen to know if anyone is designing the LA Country Club for this year’s US Open? Or if the Whistling Straits, Straits Course in in the game somewhere? The only other thing I’m not understanding is that I found a few courses on the TGC courses list but when I went in to the game to “favorite” they’re not there. Could you please explain why that may be? By the way, I played Southern Hills PGA version yesterday and it was just brilliant!!! In every single way!!! Whoever the designer was for that course, what a great job!!! |

Before 2k21-2k23 you could play and look for a course and there was a option there search by designer and all the courses that designer had made was there. For some reason never explained it was taken out of 2k21 and never returned for 2k23.Your best bet now is if you like a course designed on the system you play on, is to send a friend request and if it's accepted all the courses that designer has done, will show under friends courses in the search menu. LA Country Club and Whistling Straits (it was a restricted word in 2k21) were done in 2k21 my friend tmt moneytour did the straits in Lidar and was good i thought he seems not to have released any courses in 2k23 maybe file size problems who knows he also had my file of Royal Birkdale and did an amazing job with that as well. Can't help you sorry on the TGC tours database i don't submit courses here only thing i can think off there not released in 2k23 but list is from 2k21 maybe. For Real courses this list might help you a little a great list but to me some of the courses on the list i could not recommend playing but like everything with course choice all subjective play what you enjoy 774 real courses there on the list. real course list |
