Just thinking back fondly on TW2014 after a few posters mentioned it on the EA thread.
TW2014 had way more positives than negatives going for it - most importantly stellar game play but also fantastic course selection on the main disc plus lots of other great ones that were downloads. Lots of clothing, lots of brands, last year of Tiger, the flyovers. I think they still had the Weather Channel for live weather. There were only 2 problems in my opinion - driving was probably too easy and worse, the ball was not always bright white enough to see. I remember it would catch a lot of shadows and you couldn't always follow it in the sky without the line thing on. Oh yeah, no Titlelist or course designer which we begged for.
The deluxe had legends we could play against - Legendary Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Bobby Jones, Ben Hogan, Gary Player, Sam Snead, Seve Ballesteros, Lee Trevino. It had throwback clothing from different eras but it also had throwback clubs to use on Augusta 1934. That course had video about how the 9's were reversed and I think they had a vintage view with faded color, and a typical view it as you played. I have to put the disc in my old PS3 to remember.
The course selection - great courses plus many that were being used on the actual PGA Tour that year.
Main disc
Pebble Beach Golf Links TPC Sawgrass Atlanta Athletic Club Augusta National Augusta Par 3 (may have been the deluxe only but awesome to have) Augusta National 1934 (deluxe only but awesome to have) Crooked Stick GC East Lake GC Kiawah Island Muirfield Village Oak Hill Oakmont PGA National Pinehurst #2 (newer remodel) Spyglass Hill Torrey Pines Doral: Blue Monster TPC Louisiana Valhalla Mission Hills
St. Andrews Royal Birkdale Royal County Down Royal Melbourne Royal Troon Sheshan
DOWNLOADS
Bethpage Black Blackwolf Run Colonial CC (PGA Tour) Pinehurst: Old version TPC Boston TPC River Highlands Whistling Straits TPC Scottsdale Wolf Creek Banff Springs Costa Navarino Els Club Celtic Manor
FANTASY
Emerald Dragon Greek Isles Highlands Predator
Any thoughts or memories on this game?

I still play it quite frequently. I have the Masters Historic Edition for Xbox 360, which came with the 1934 version of Augusta.
I love the Legends of the Majors challenges, where you'd play thru moments in major championship golf history, culminating with some pretty cool end-game challenges.
The career mode was fantastic, with the ability to swap courses out of non-real life events. It had rotating major hosts as well, and was the first game in the series to have all 4 majors in it. Career mode also had the season money list, a world golf ranking, stat tracking, goals and objectives, and more.
It was also the first game in the series to have sudden death tiebreakers or playoffs, and they matched what they were in real life. I remember that ties in the US Open were still broken by a full 18-hole playoff round back when TW 14 came out, so if you ended up tied for the US Open lead after 72 holes, you'd have another 18 left to play.
Another great feature was that it had a full LPGA career mode to go along with a PGA TOUR career mode, with actual LPGA tour events like the Kraft Nabisco Championship (now the Chevron Championship) at Mission Hills CC.
It also had the Country Clubs, which were like societies, "Play The Pro" events where you'd play against actual pro scores at events that were happening at that time, real-time weather conditions from the Weather Channel, a 24-hour time cycle...you could play at 2 a.m. at any course (except for Augusta). There were also Quick Tournaments, where you could pick a scenario (like being in solo second place) and play the final round of any PGA Tour or LPGA Tour event in the game - and it would actually keep track of the times you won and show your character on the all-time leaderboard chasing the likes of Jack Nicklaus and Tiger himself.
TW 14 is still my favorite golf video game of all time. It wasn't perfect, but the fact I still fire it up fairly regularly shows how influential it was for me.

TW 14 is still my favorite golf video game of all time. It wasn't perfect, but the fact I still fire it up fairly regularly shows how influential it was for me. I forgot about some of those things - yes the four majors was a huge deal and we didn't know at the time that Augusta would end the contract once Tiger's EA contract was up so it was a big final hurrah. The LPGA was a big deal too - they always had some real women pros and created women but this was a first as well. And this was when women weren't playing Augusta in any capacity - or some of the UK courses. I loved the stats, the regular season was awesome - I forgot about the rotating major courses which is important for multi-season play - some of the other courses were from previous majors like Atlanta Athletic Club. - I remember Valhalla being in the game was a big deal for me - I stunk on that course lol Getting Muirfield Village, a course I watched countless times but they never had was also important. But I could not get enough of Augusta 1934 - with the original yardages and the old clubs - the mashie niblick, I think they had a spoon, the cleek, the jigger - I forget what else. Totally forgot about the tiebreakers - remember the Play the Pros and the Country Clubs, yes - I'm getting more tempted to put that game in. I do have my old PS3 set up - I had hesitated cause I thought it would mess up my 2K swing - but I need a trip down magnolia nostalgia lane.

TW 14 is one of the main reasons I still have my X360 still hooked up although I am a bit upset that I don't have the deluxe version with ANGC 1934 and par-3 course. I'm not a big multiplayer guy so the legends of the majors challenges and career mode with its rotating major venues definitely keep me engaged.

Tiger Woods 14 would have been my favorite golf game if it had featured a working "True-Aim" camera presentation at least equal to that of TW 13. I've never been a fan of the follow camera and that was the only presentation option in TW 14 that worked like it was supposed to. I also played it at the level just below the level that required the diagonal swing to hit the ball along its intended line. It just felt like the degree of the diagonal swing path you had to execute was out of proportion with the net result. Yeah, it made the game a lot tougher, but it felt tricked up to me with that in play.
I enjoyed it in the second hardest level and it provided enough challenge for me as it stood. The connected tournaments it had were great... I was so in hopes that there would be something comparable to them in EA Sports PGA Tour, but nada.
In the end, the lack of a working True-Aim camera did the game in for me. I just couldn't feel the game and the environment from the perspective I wanted with the Follow Camera.

It was by far the best presented game and best course plus gear but you’re right, was way too easy with normal swing and that advanced swing where you had to swing diagonal was a bit too hard! If it had the mechanic of tw12 where you could leave your accuracy attributes low for a challenge and wider dispersion, it could have been a perfect game!

Yes I agree the conventional swing was a bit easy-with driver in particular for me but the diagonal swing was too hard. I always beat my controllers up with FIFA games so the thumbstick wouldn't always be receptive to the diagonal swing.
