Just gave this a go, pin 2, default conditions.
Hole 1 - I see that the bunkers are shapes dropped down onto surfaces. This is OK, but when you do that in the middle of the fairway, a band of heavy rough appears between the bunker and the fairway. It's better to spline these bunkers, as that strip of rough will not show up.
Also, the light rough sections are uneven on either side of the fairway, and there is tall grass planted on the light rough. That's just kind of odd, as if the rough were mowed down to light rough length, there would be no tall grass on it.
Surfacing around the Hole 1 green is a bit odd, too. Transition from fairway to green is abrupt and not smoothed out.
Hole 2 - The fairway being split at 375 yards really makes no sense. One section of fairway stops, and then the other section starts just a few feet beyond. The fairway then stops again some 80 yards short of the green, and there's a long strip of light rough connecting the fairway and green? It looks strange and really doesn't make sense once again. Surfacing is an area I would definitely recommend working on a bit more.
Hole 3 - More odd surfacing with the light rough here. There is light rough to the right of the fairway, but none to the left. Planting is a bit too close to the green on the left side.
Hole 4 - not a huge fan of the pin here, as it's only 4 feet past a red slope on the green. Any tee shot slightly below the flag will be sent back and probably off the surface altogether.
Hole 5 - the water hazards on this hole look more like casual standing water or puddles. They cannot be seen off the tee, either. This green here is too big.
Hole 6 - I like the idea of this drivable par-4, but this is the second drivable par-4 on the course so far (along with Hole 2). Surfacing around the water needs some work, and the green is much too large for a 268-yard par-4.
Hole 7 - this is another hole with a fairway that is split for no real reason. The green is once again way to big - it's over 60 yards long from front to back, and probably almost as wide in spots, too.
Hole 8 - easily my favorite hole of the nine here. Do wish the stream was more visible, and that the bridge was slightly more out of the line of play.
Hole 9 - I don't quite get the hedge and structures placed to the right, in front of the water hazard here? The "pond" in front of the green is also more like a puddle.
I would recommend watching the CrazyCanuck1985 2K23 Course Designer 101 tutorials on YouTube, that go over surfacing, sculpting, etc:
I would also recommend watching the 2K21 tutorials he did, as many of those topics are also relevant here:
You have some good ideas, and planting was pretty well done. But surfaces and transitions, as well as bunkers and greens, need a bit of attention. I think with more practice and time watching the videos, you'll catch on quickly.
