The first round lighting was poor in my opinion even the overhead map was to dark you couldn’t see a fairway from the tee. I was just looking at bunkers and making sure I avoided them. I may play another I don’t know TST isn’t really conducive to the way I play the game at the minute I can’t tell how far I’m pulling the marker back it’s all guess work. Got to do what you got to do. Just nice to have you around these parts for the time being. Would be nice to see SkyBlueBen as well as he has been away for a month now. (sad face) I'm trying not to complain too much anymore. My new motto is: Shut the F--- Up and Play! I’ve just ran out of time to give TST the attention it deserves/needs.

-7 through 2 (E, -7)
Wow this was quite the turnaround through 2 rounds, I mean I knew I only had up to go but this wasn’t expected at all until I played a couple practice rounds and got a really good feel for this course! Now to try and stay consistent with it to close it out 😬😬

Absolutely brilliant course Frans. Had a couple of -2 rounds to start. Struggling with the putter at the moment. The highlight of the week for me was ghosting Mark horusphoenix in the first round. Definitely the best round of TrueSim golf I have ever had the privilege to witness. 14 under I think. I hope you bring that form to the Ryder Cup Mark 😉. Fantastic golf mate. I encourage anyone playing their first round to walk the links with Mark and see how this game should be played. Okay Ross, I know that you are the kindest gentleman to come out of Tasmania, but how many Australian dollars do I have to pay you for that comment? 😂 But thanks mate, honestly such a lovely message to read. Sadly, that was as good as it got for me in the week. My putter went back to normal for the rest of the it. I'll try for the Ryder Cup, but geez as I guess you experienced in your match it looks like a whole different ball game playing in a team event where you'll get nerves that you won't ever experience playing by yourself. Hope your week went well on the course mate & great to see you shooting some low scores in true sim, you have quickly become a top true simmer on the xbox side in my eyes.

Pair of -7s to kick this week off for me. Didn't think I was off to a start like that when I was +1 after 2 holes and -1 after 11...
Hitting just above 50% fairways so far but thankfully finding the light stuff that's on high supply. Putter's been looking solid against my usual self so far too, averaging 25 per round which is not my usual kind of putting pace unless I'm saving a lot and hit it close. One visit into the water on 10 in round 2 which I just couldn't save bogey on, but made a hell of a birdie on 13 when my second shot came from heavy rough behind trees.
I may have just been robbed of a promo back to the top (or I shot myself out of it, can also give both a fair shake), but if there's one positive to now take from that... it means I think I may be leading the Palmer flight heading into the weekend rounds. Which is weird to say the least, sometimes I just pop off outta nowhere and it leads to some... interesting developments to say the least. Or maybe I'm really enjoying the vibe of the course, and that also might help.
Cheers, good luck!

I really wanted to blame my stomach for poor play but no, it was me - I was the loser! Started red hot with 4 straight birdies 3-6, then missed 2 10 foot putts by a hair on 7 and 8 then birdied 9 so I was 5 under thru 9 holes. At that point my stomach growled and I waited to eat-foolish so so foolish.
Then somehow my 10th hole tee shot was short and dribbled into that muddy area which they called water so I doubled that one. Preceded to screw up more and couldn't even birdie 17 and 18 par 5's so I finished with a 69 (-2). Then I ate a fish sandwich with extra teardrops as I sulked.
Second round feeling nourished I continue to ride the bogey train and finally birdied on 5 after 13 straight holes with no feathered friends. After more ups and downs I ended par with again no birdies on either par 5 at the end. So just (-2) through 2 rounds. I would have been cut if we still had that.
Otherwise, I loved the course it was a great one - I felt comfy there - I usually play a practice round so the dark overheads don't matter much to me. I had never heard of the course but it was a pleasant surprise.

Finished off with rounds of -4 and -6. Almost caught my long suffering BOB and BC team mate Les lessangster, but not quite. A great week mate. Really enjoyed this course and as always TST rules Frans 😀

To mitigate randomness of the servers, I’ve decided to return to my TST game plan of 2k21: ultra-boring golf! No more going for greens with overpowering the driver, no more leaving myself flop shots when pitch is possible, be nice to my 3w and no more “hit the pin to stop it” nonsense. Fairways and greens, play for pars, avoid three putts at all cost, par 5s are little bird territory not big birds. Round 2: -8 - bogey-free Round 3: -8 - bogey-free Round 4: -9 - bogey-free Total: -32 It’s boring and tiring but it’s solid… … already miss the feeling of that shot you pull off that you had no business going for though… 😂😂😂 Anyway: I’ll try to stick to this game plan for as long as I can. Be nice to my 3wood lol I usually play like that anyway. Great rounds as usual Frans plus not being bogged down by the bogeys. I never got back on track, had 5 double bogeys for the tourney. So finished 69-71-68-72, (-4) way down the leaderboard. My scores aren't showing so I submitted a ticket. Cool choice for next week - Fox Chapel - I remember playing that one on 2K21.

Yes, I haven't played with any players this season - now it's fixed, it would be fun since I usually play later in the week than most here. As for my poor showing this week - as Cartman would say - 'Screw you guys...I'm going home!'

Round 3 was an odd one for me. I hit 83% GIR and only scored 3 birdies with 15 pars. And all three birdies were on par 3s. And... the last birdie was a lucky 43.7-foot putt that hit dead center. More of the same in Round Four with a few more birds. I hit the fairways and greens but couldn't get enough putts to drop. The good news is that all four rounds were under par which was nice. (-1) (-8) (-3) (-5) to finish the tournament at 17 under par. Take That meyo !!
