Major Qualifying - Details

This snuck up on us quickly!
Quick refresher: We mirror the PGA Tour schedule on our Platinum Tour but change event names to avoid any legal issues. That includes the four majors.

1. Firethorn Legends Cup (Masters)
2. Platinum Tour Championship (PGA Championship)
3. American Open (US Open)
4. British Open Championship (The Open)
** all these events are listed on the Platinum Tour schedule

There will be site-wide qualifiers for each of these majors. Platinum fields are approx 100 players with no cuts. For the major events we will add another 25 players via these qualifiers and have a cut after R2 at 50+ties. Platinum Tour card holders automatically qualify for all majors.

Qualifying Events
- events hosted in our TGCTours (Special Events) society
- All tour card holders (excluding Platinum) will be automatically entered
- No R1/R2 deadline, just have all 4 rounds completed prior to the event closing.

Firethorn Legends Qualifying (March 31st)
- Top 25 (tiebreaker in effect) qualify

Platinum Tour Qualifying (May 5th)
- Top 25 (tiebreaker in effect) qualify

American Open Qualifying (May 19th, 26th, June 2nd)
- 3 qualifying events
- top 10 (tiebreaker in effect) qualify from each event
- if a qualifier promotes to platinum prior to the major, we will not back fill
- if you qualify, you will still be added to all qualifying fields but will be skipped if you finish top 10 again

British Open Qualifying (July 7th)
- Top 25 (tiebreaker in effect) qualify

Other Info
If you qualify for a major, you will only play the major event for the week. You will be pulled from your home tour.
If you make the cut in the major you have the option to take a Platinum Tour card - this is optional - please email [e-mail] after the cut is processed should you want to take advantage of this.

One thing I did forget to mention - these qualifiers will be set up as a Platinum level event. They will likely be much tougher than a Promotion Event.

One setting adjustment Challenge Circuit members should be aware of - Wind Meter will be set to Meter only. You will not get the exact wind MPH but you can tell an approx wind speed by how much the wind icon is filled with white. If the full circle is white, it's 30mph, half would be approx 15mph. This is a setting the top three tours use.

Hi after qualifying for major and then finishing 16th. I’ve seem to have lost my 2x promotional marks I had in elite before major. Can this be corrected please?
