Course I was working on this morning behaving like it was corrupted. Crashes every 1-2 minutes, sometimes just while flying around. Tried a bunch of stuff with no fix, eg
1) Deleted all the bridges (crashing started after placing bridges)
2) Published a beta and then reopened from published courses
3) Rebooting after each crash (seemed to prolong stability to 5 minutes, but may be placebo?, and hardly practical)
Finally I decided to change weather and lighting (from overcast and 90 inclination, to clear and 30 inclination), saved the course, and no crashes since, done an hour of planting. Might be a fluke of course, and I will report back if starts crashing again. I have changed the lighting back, and haven't recreated the crashes.
So, if you have a 'corrupt' course that keeps crashing, give this a go. It seemed to work for me.

It still crashes but at least I have a good bit of time to work on something and save my work before it happens. |

For me I went from crashing every 30 seconds at worst to 10 hours of uninterrupted designing. Switching the theme could help too according to others… |

So, I found using some of the new trees and objects were giving me a crash which was annoying, deleted them and left till the end to do those bits. Working fine now
