Noticed recently that when setting game to performance rather than quality there is far less input lag. Anyone else noticed this? It even makes legend difficulty on 3 click actually playable!!

That's because there is less input lag the more fps you get. Double that 60fps to 120fps and there is much less latency, it will feel so much more responsive. That's why competitive gamers who play esports lower the resolution and play on high refresh rate monitors. Try playing a competitive game at 240fps ,the response time is awesome. 30fps is not good for competitive sports games. |

I switched to Performance mode before I ever took my first swing in the game. Huge difference in the feedback the game provides in performance mode... I tried it later in Quality mode and found it unplayable. I had enough after three holes and went back to performance mode. BTW, I still find that the performance mode in this game, at least on the XBox Series X, doesn't deliver a steady 60 FPS animation, but it's considerably more playable than what mostly seems like <30 FPS in quality mode. |

Can anyone tell me how to put the game into performance setting, is it the settings in the game itself or the settings on the Xbox series X. can't seem to find anything in the menus . I have everything on default settings and i can't ever hit a perfect shot.  |

Thx sask3m for trying to help, but still no joy, all i can turn off is HDR mode but no performance mode showing, maybe its only on PC?

On series X under graphics or display in the pause screen settings there will be a setting called graphics mode. You can toggle this between Performance and Quality. Quality is totally unplayable. If you're able to switch it'll help a lot. |

still no setting for performance and quality mode it's got me baffled. thanks for your help tho Are you sure you have the series X version installed? On the first tee pause the game. Tab over to settings. Graphics. You should see options for Quality Level, HDR Rendering and HDR Brightness. The option you want is quality level. If it's not there I'm wondering if you've accidentally bought or installed the last gen version of the game. I bought the series X version and both are available to install so maybe you've installed the wrong one? It's the only reason I can think of. Hopefully you figure it out! |

just checked my version and it's for the series X/S version of the game, got HDR tab and I can switch that on and off, is there a series X only version of the game? if so I have bought the wrong one damn!!!!

I beleive there are 2 versions. One for X/S and one for older Xbox One. If you have an older Xbox One and you have the X/S version of the game then it sounds like you may purchased the wrong verison. I stand to be corrected however! |

Hi blueblood just downloaded the correct version of the game for the Xbox seriesX and now I have the performance mode option, when I think about it I bought the game cheap for £39 and now had to pay £23 for the upgraded version should have double checked before buying serves me right for being tight LOL.
All sorted now it would have never occurred to me that I had the wrong version, so thankyou very much everyone for the advice .

just played a ranked match using the performance mode I can now hit the ball straight and keep it on tha fairway, still lost but it felt so much better the graphics look a lot better also it's like a new game.
