Hey, Im making my first course using Chads tool. I have followed all the online instructions I could find but I think Im running into issues with the LiDAR data that Im using.
I downloaded the data for the North Bay Golf and Country Club from geo1.scholarsportal.info. It gave me 4 LAZ files with no metadata file. I created a metadata file by creating a shortcut the the link on the webpage with the metadata. I have also done all the work for this course on open street maps and it should be ready to go.
When I am running everything in chads tool I have been messing around with different EPSG codes to try and get it to work. Currently 3150 will run and then the tool with go non responsive. When I run the tool with all four of the LAZ files in the course directory, im not getting two images, I will get one completely black one. When I run the tool with just one of the LAZ files I will just get the black and white image. These seem to be the right location (using EPSG around 3160), but i cannot get them to all work together.
If anyone could help me.. I think its probably my LiDAR files but I dont know where else to go from here. If someone could help me and show me how to get the proper files and meta data for North Bay Golf and Country Club it would be greatly appreciated.

Did you end up getting your course/data working? I'm up north too and got Lee Golf Club (Cochrane, Ontario) done (PGA Tour 2K23 Only). The data that I've been getting from the government directly has been pretty good, just need the right EPSG code, which you can use ChatGPT for. For North Bay it's... EPSG:26917
I'd be willing to help you out!

Try using 2958. FYI I got it by opening the .LAZ file using Notepad. There are usually several EPSG codes listed. The one you want follows the 'AXIS' definition...
AXIS["Easting",EAST],AXIS["Northing",NORTH],AUTHORITY["EPSG","2958"]]
Good luck and happy designing!
