seeing all the reports of the designer “crashing.” I took that to mean the game is freezing or shutting down. haven’t had that happen but i do get booted offline while in the designer. Is that what folks are referring to?
Can the designer be used offline? Can i just keep working and saving and not go back online until i’m done?
i’m on PC.
Novice course designer, expecting to remain that way. 😀

Yes, you can use the designer while offline. Your course file is stored locally on your computer, so, even offline, you have access to it.
When we say the designer crashes, generally, we mean that the game crashed back to the home screen while in the designer, wiping out any progress we might have made since the last save.
meunier33: That is what people don't get, I can't understand advice. I can only understand someone showing me what they are doing in playing a round with me.

sroel908: Then I guess you might need to find a new game to play, or should go back to playing 2K21 or something. I don't know what else to say that hasn't already been offered as advice to you here dozens of times.

meunier33: sroel908: I can play the game as it was designed and I will not improve at all, your controller and connection controls how good you are at the game.

sroel908: meunier33: You've admitted you don't play 2K23 as its designed, so it shouldn't be a surprise that you're struggling with parts of it.

meunier33: The biggest stat that stands out to me in this game is that my GIR% is only 61, and has been for all of 2K23. I'm not sure how to improve this.

OldManGaming606: ghostgoblin22 Dude, How unappreciative do you have to be to not acknowledge the time and effort the people associated with TGCTours invest for us to enjoy the game. Nobody is forcing you to play. But the verbal abuse is unacceptable.

meunier33: Im seeing a lot of new courses recently that have greens that will roll your ball off the green even if you are very close to the hole

sroel908: And as someone who's rangered/scheduled hundreds of courses, trying out a wide range of conditions, I can say with certainty that green speeds do have an impact and definitely matter.

sroel908: Green firmness is more about how the ball interacts with the putting surface when you hit an approach into it. A soft green is more receptive, and will allow more backspin than a firm one. A firm green will have less bite and more rollout.

meunier33: I have seen 135 greens that putt like they are 170. Therefore, we can conclude that green speed does not matter.
Nov 18, 2024 15:31:35 GMT -5
meunier33: Why isn't there a green firmness meter on the score bug? Green firmness matters much more than green speed.
