Since the latest update? I'm not seeing this. After the 1.08 update my course was crashing every 4-5 minutes, and never the same reason. I realized it was a corrupted file as I started a new course and had no problems. I go back to the corrupted and crash after crash again. |

This game is a train wreck,nothing works correctly wind in elevation shots don't work accurately,that is my biggest complaint.

I obviously have courses that are half finished (I.e. 60+ hours in) and now they crash every 5 minutes and I have to restart the game. Also means I don’t always save everything. Didn’t happen before the update I tend to save frequently on my courses, especially the corrupted one I refuse to give up on. I managed to do a bit of landscaping and put in a road before it crashed last night. b101 said he had over 200 crashes on his latest course. Hopefully once this corrupted one is launched all the rest don't have problems. |

Yep, it's frustrating alright. On my PS4 Pro I recently (today) lost about 30 minutes work on a new hole because I got so engrossed with what I was doing I forgot to do a save every 5 or 10 minutes. I have now setup a "Save Now" alarm on my mobile phone to go off every 10 minutes to remind me to save if I have not done so already. 2K should create an auto-save setting in the course designer which users can select a few choices like: 5mins, 10mins, 30mins, Never. Of course fixing the current issues causing designer crashes would be nice too.
Hopefully this will be fixed soon for all environments.

I went from the designer crashing occasionally, to frequently, to anytime I did about anything. Then I progressed to the game crashing the moment it hit the main menu. Lots of fun! Was that way for almost 3 days.
This morning I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it, tried to open and crashed at the main menu again.
I worked in TGC19 for a few hours, then went back to 2k23. Got into the game and into my course, did some work and multiple saves with no crash. Haven't exited the course or turned the game off since... never know when I'll see it again, lol.

I have been fortunate lately and haven't had any crashes in the designer for a while now. Not sure if they fixed something or if it was after I changed the lighting on the course a while back.

Further to my post here on 5 April, I may have found something contributing to my frequent freezing in the course designer. Because I want to use the "free" Delta theme trees around parts of the plot perimeter, I had trees at 100 with about 75% of the plot cleared out. I turned trees back to zero and deleted all the numerous Clear Trees shapes. Haven't had a single freeze since. I will add the theme trees back and clear where I do not want them right at the very end of the design process - using as few Clear Trees shapes as possible. Fingers crossed. As mentioned by SteelVike , changing lighting does sometimes cause temporary issues for me like the video going all black when cursor is on water bodies or sometimes very bright white like over exposure. It's easy fixed by going to test play mode then back to design mode. |

I had two yesterday (PC), one of them I had stepped away for about 15 minutes and came back to it locked up/not responding.

yesterday afternoon no crash for 1 hr then this morning 5 crashes after ever 1 minute and a save every item placed ....... so random it aint even funny no more .lol

I’ve been lucky, no crashes in the designer for hours on end.
Running PC and started a new plot in ‘23 using desert theme.
Seems to be very stable after laying down 18 holes and starting sculpting.

My "corrupted" course hasn't had a crash in three days. Before that it crashed every 2-3 minutes. I'm probably just jinxed it, however...

Still hasn't crashed but the new one is. Constantly. I got four hours on Thursday (my initial design) with no crashes. Yesterday and today, ever 1-3 minutes. WTF is going on?
