Hey guys, back again.
"PitchyBeta2.0" Is now published.
I am in the rookie design contest and am looking for feedback. I know it is still rough... (10,11,12 arent finished) and I have only sculpted about 20-30% of the bunkers, so keep an open mind. I updated the green on 13 and 14. Widened the fairway on 2. Took away the double fairway option on 3. Widening the fairway and changing the fairway bunkers on 4 (still a WIP) Possibly enlarging the green on 5.
Most of the guts on this course are done. I have some planting around the edges and in some areas to do still. Clubhouse area is almost done but needs parking and practice facilities installed.
Thank you to everyone who has helped me so far. Your comments and advice mean more to me than you know.
Cheers,
-Oskins

Hey, I haven't played your previous beta.
Back tees, pin 4
There is light rough around the fairways on some holes, and none on others. Your surfacing is well done on many holes so I assume there's some holes where this isn't finished, but thought I'd better mention it.
1. Lovely view off the first tee. Tough pin, but nice hole to start.
2. There's an exposed rock under the teebox. I've been defaulted to a 3w off the tee - could be a waypoint issue.
3. I hit a nice 310 yard drive and I've been rewarded by a tree in the way. I don't actually mind that tree, it's well placed and fun, my only issue with it is that if you chose to play away from the tree, there's no landing area for the layup. I wonder I you could create a landing area on the left between the bunkers, which would leave a pitch in down the green?
4. You mentioned fairway bunkers on 4, and yeah I think something marking the left side of the fairway or to play over on that side would be good.
6 Greenside bunkers on the left are almost invisible from a good fairway landing zone.
7. There's a sharp transition between tee box and dirt behind the golfer. I saw this on a transition shot, should be some more green heavy rough. Nice hole.
8. I do like your hole marker builds, but this one might be too prominent, and distracts from a nice looking hole.
9. Fences around the big palms looks awesome.
10. The second shot from the right side of the fairway defaulted me to a lob wedge pitch shot layup - this might be because your waypoint is too far up the fairway, bring it back to about 300y.
14 the centre trap isn't visible from the tee - I think you should be able to see that one. And then the sightline on the second shot isn't ideal if you use 3w off tee - it's not really a problem but maybe lowering the front of that fairway section will open up the view a little?
15. I don't understand the boat / sail.
16. Fairway bunkers just over the crest of the hill are blind - they only exist to challenge the drive and they should either be visible or they shouldn't exist. Cart path across the ridge near the green is almost there but could do with a tiny touch-up in places.
18. I'd lower those front tee boxes to open up the view. The second set of greenside bunkers aren't visible from a fairway landing area. If you lift them up you could get a cool nested look from the fairway. Maybe a couple misplaced fairway spline points to the left of the green.
All in all it looks great and plays well. Look forward to seeing the finished version.

AHHHHH, Thanks so much for the feedback. Many of the things you mentioned I had planned on addressing. I will definitely look at those sightlines you speak of in a few spots. I am hearing that my tee markers can be a bit distracting, I might tone those down a bit. Seriously though, you have no idea how much I appreciate your review. Thanks Fargo

The boat sail is decorative!! I am going to build a little pavilion there in the triangle of trees. IDK just trying to be artsy I guess. LOL
