Playoffs?! What a joke haha.

So I am playing in career mode and I swapped out one of the courses to Tony Finau Fresh.

I am on the last hole of the tournament and the commentators say I need to make this putt to force a playoff.  I make the testy 8 footer and they say we are going to a playoff.

Next it shows me shaking hands with Colin Morikowa who was my rival.  Then it shows some fans standing in the rough and nothing happens.  It won't let me push any buttons, not even pause.  I wait for a minute or two, realize the game has froze and close app.

I go back into career mode and resume round hoping it will put me on the tee to start the playoff or at the least make me make the putt again to tie.

But it puts my golfer 1 inch away from the hole claiming I already took my 5th stroke and am now putting for bogey.  I tap in, miss the playoff and the commentators call me a choke artist and that I will be thinking about that one for awhile.

Hahaha WTF.  Has this happened to anyone before?  I was really looking forward to the playoff.  What is it like?  I thought they were giving us playoffs this year?  Did they not test this?  What a joke.

The career mode playoffs are broken...some of the times. I still get occasions where the event just ends in a tie, yet I am given the win. But then other times, a playoff does happen. There seems to be no rhyme or reason why or when it works or when it's busted. But career mode is still pretty bugged and glitchy, for sure.

I used to like the way it was back in The Golf Club 2019.  When you could swap out any course to anything you wanted.  I'd play a season of RCRs with real courses like Cypress Point, Pine Valley, RCD, Sand Hills etc that they don't play IRL.  Then a season of courses done by designers.  And changing the name and flag to historical golfers was great.

The only reason I'm playing it now is to unlock the sponsorship rewards.  With a few exceptions like Riviera, the courses the PGA plays are terrible compared to the stuff mentioned above etc.  And HB's recreation of them are pretty basic.  It's like they don't even know how to use their own designer.

What baffled me the most about missing the playoff is how after I reloaded the game, it generated a new scenario to screw me out of it.  It's like they didn't code a playoff on the new Tony Finau course (which is a good course actually).  Just lazy or bad programming.  Test your crap before you release it guys lol.
