I've played a round Bogey Free, my season is now complete  YES!!!!!  Well done, Andi!!! Bogeyed H1 Rd 2 Had a mare rd 2, -2, played well rd 3, 1 Bogey -8  , 2 Birds, 16 Pars Bogey free again rd 4, -2 -15 Finish Well Played all, good luck to those yet to finish  |

My scores are usually not worthy of posting. I had an Ace on the par 3 #5 so I thought I would share. It sparked me to a respectable first round. No hole in ones to share, but I am finally figuring out TST putting (or the last two weeks have been much easier greens...or a combination of both) I only had 28 putts, which is pretty dang good for me on TST. Best TST round to date, shooting a -3 in the first round, which temporarily will get me to the top of the Hogan flight. Many people are asking if I will I keep the good play going for 54 more holes. Round 4 was going well until the disaster on the 10th. A miss hit on my approach shot landed in the water and I putted like a fool for a 3 over par on that hole. Did manage to get 1 stroke back to finish at plus 2 for the round and the week.

Meyo I talked to the Voodoo woman*, she can fit you and your putter in on Friday and for you to bring some of your hair clippings, rat blood and 3 chicken feets. Your stuff must be really jacked up. LOL

So many missed opportunities this week. Finished up -9, but an even par third round really killed me. Edited to move my score to -9, forgot about the double bogey on the 72nd hole.  |

So I chose an interesting time to play competitive rounds this week... how was I supposed to know that there was gonna be a game update around the time when I was playing Kinetic and apparently confirmed by the time where I was playing round 1 of this?!
So that would logically explain why I started off extremely slow this week, by shooting nothing but par on everything except the 5s. -2 thru 9 holes, two bogeys back to back on 11 and 12, then -5 in last 5 holes to finish... -5 in round 1. I think that last bit was around the time where I saw any indication of an update having dropped, and coincidentally where my game felt normal again. Had been very off during my Kinetic rounds, and all of a sudden things felt normal with that last stretch.
More par save action in round 2. Best par save so far for me was the last par 5 of 15th hole. Hit water with a mega fast, saw the drop being on fairway... didn't take any time looking how far that might be. Turns out, was dropped 448 yards or so from pin. On shot 3. So figure out where I am, where I'm aiming, hit it to about 180 away for shot 4. Got it quite well down but still 15 feet down for par putt. Saved par by the skin of my teeth.
With that mishap, something had to give and that was a double bogey on 7th, which... I don't even know. Played like a dummy and I guess I found the worst spots to putt from for 3. I did score an eagle... the hole before that huge par save. Oh yeah, -5 there in round 2 too.
-10 at half and looking pretty solid I guess... was not expecting it with that score! Nothing's too different to most weeks for me though, still fighting for life at top flight but not too far off from potentially going for my best finish in TST. Not sure why this course suits me so fine... I had a good go in a different version of it last season in the last game (finished T-18 for best finish for me) and remembered some things eerily well despite that event having been almost a year ago at this point. Sure, not that different of a variation of the same course, but still. Also, kinda sad that I have so far doubled up my Kinetic score... in TST.

Very happy with this week. Finished off with a -6 in Round 3 and -7 in Round 4 to finish 26 under for the week. Really loved the course and loving the TrueSim.

I shot 6 under in practice and proceeded to round 3 and 4 where I had a miserable time and choked pretty hard.
Still finished 12 under for the tournament but the round 4 water shot for triple bogey was unfortunate.
Try to do better next week.

Did slightly miss out on my best finish but I'm definitely not far off!  -7 in R3 for a bit of luck... there's a very odd double bogey on 6 where my errant drive went a bit too deep to the right side and got messed up within the greenery... I don't know what I was thinking trying to shoot it out of there but instead of hitting what I thought I would (the leaves) I hit a tree stump... or something like that. I was then perched up next to a house and once again, went to shoot over the green stuff. Was except to get brushed off by a lot of the greenery, but alas... caught nothing, swung super slow anyway and lost distance only to my poor swing! Figures! Well to answer to that, nailed a slick eagle on my favorite hole this week, the 14th hole par 5, having dropped a putt from 27 feet after just about hanging on to the hill at the top side of it! And finally, what did you expect? -5 in R4 for 3 of those this week. Very lacking in scoring but saving pars has been my true light in the game lately. Not much to say, 55% greens hit doesn't really scream out a huge scoring round. Knocked out 1 in 3 long putts this week for some unreal, uncharacteristic putting skill on display! -22 this week and very happy with that! When I'm averaging around top 20 on a course whenever we've played it, I can't complain one bit. Going into round 12 on the battle of survival up top next week, certainly has felt like a boxing match so far! And with how long I've hung on with 3 demos and 4 needed to go down, the fight is real in this one since that's all I can reasonably expect any week! Cheers, good luck! |
