I could not see any option to go back to the tee. Played this weeks events and on my second round on the 18th hole my ball was stuck in the water after my drive rolled into the water. I was having a fabulous round too (-13) and had to skip the hole with max strokes because I couldn't drop the ball anywhere but the water. Shot a 11 on the 18th, OUCH!

That’s happened to me a couple times in 2k23 but it could happen in 2k21 as well. I was playtesting a course in 2k21 last night and experienced it while actually testing possible bounces behind a green, whether the ball might reach the lake. It did! But the game gave me no place to drop. I tried to go all the way backward to the other side of the lake but it turns out there’s a limit on how far it lets you go. It hit that limit on two shots last night, lol.
But it was just playtesting…it’s maddening when it happens in a round.
But to have it happen on the 18th! I feel for you, bud.

On PS 4 or 5, you can press R1 to toggle between the drop cursor or going back to the original place you hit it from (the tee or wherever you played from). Not sure on other platforms. I think once you’ve dropped though, the option would go.

I had it happen just a little while ago where my ball went into the water but it didn't register as in the water. So, when I went to hit my second shot I thought I could hit it out. Wrong. Next shot I tried to declare unplayable, and I had no option on PC. Had to take the max. Next hole I rolled my putt in for birdie only to get the putting loop bug lol. So, the game crashes every time I reload from that point on. No way out of that problem. Hope they fix that bug in the near future  |

Anyone know what button or buttons to press in this situation on a Xbox controller? I tried every button I could think of the other day, and I finally just gave up and quit the round.

On PC you go to the menu. Maybe this on the Xbox controller? It is on the menu as you scroll down, Declare Unplayable is the 6th one down (on PC).
