This week on kinetic is the only unofficial major we have during the season, it has the biggest fake money prize fund of the season for you all to spend on fake goodies. I have asked the admins to give us real majors during the season but they said no because who ever wins will get all high and mighty, start thinking they are good and less face it, all players on kinetic are a bit shite, if they were any good, they would be playing on the real pro tours, not one we made up to laugh at. There words, not mine. But I shall still continue treating this week like a major because dammit, we deserve something as well. As you can see by the name, The Grey Matter Cup is the trophy for this weeks winner, and of course Grey Matter is part of the brain and is sometimes used as a term for intelligence. Which is why I think it is important that this week is a week that we have a smart course, a course that challenges a players thinking skills as well as their golfing skills. So this time of year, I look for the smartest of designers, designers that are known for making players think, for making players use all their skills both physical and mental so that this weeks winner, really has to use their grey matter. Unfortunately, all those designers were busy this week, so instead we have a course by aeastwood54. I did ask Allan to push himself with this design which in turn will push you guys as players. I stressed to him that course management was a must, that I wanted a course where shot planning is as important as shot execution, a course where shot shaping comes into play, a course with risk reward holes that play differently each day, a course with the clever use of hazards that bring temptation to a players mind. Allan said not a problem, he was going to design something that would be different each round, a real thinking mans course. When he got back to me a few months later, he was proud as punch, he was so excited, that he was jumping up and down on the spot. "Dan", he said," I have done it, the ultimate thinking mans course, what I have done is special, extraordinary and will make the kinetic the envy of all other tours. For each day, I have changed the pin positions, so day one, is different from day two.If a players practices on day one positions, it wont help him for day two, he will have to manage the course differently, just like you asked for. I don't think it has ever been done before. I think I am a genius". Why do I keep using this guy, anyway, good luck all, have fun and try to use your grey matter this week, it just might help. |

Found a nice glitch behind the green on 14. Hit it into the rough and when it went to the next shot, the ball appeared underwater. Can't get out of it. Bulls#!t.

Well I can take a break after the cut deadline for once this week. -6 x 2 for -12 and not good enough.
Too much slow action, proximity was certainly hurting because of it. When you start off slow and are just -2 through first 9, you're leaving way too much to climb back from and have to rely on a quick igniter which was not found enough fast, or with enough strength. I'm also not one to get my excuse book out due to poor play and still won't go there, but I just didn't know why things seemed way more hiccup-y at times. Then the game crashed before halfway of round 2, and immediately I'm getting hit with some update I was not seeing coming. So... yeah. Always next week, hoping I'm not getting any demo marks this week or this will be the last time I'm going this early in the day during the week! (until I do it again eventually)

When you start off slow and are just -2 through first 9, you're leaving way too much to climb back from and have to rely on a quick igniter which was not found enough fast, or with enough strength. I'm also not one to get my excuse book out due to poor play and still won't go there, but I just didn't know why things seemed way more hiccup-y at times. Did the update affect gameplay at all? I’d love an excuse for my round 3 😂. I shot —8 in round 1 and -10 in round two and then +6 in round 3. I just could not hit any decent approach shots at all, lots of fast/slow swings. IDK what happened but I just got the yips. Ill make the cut but I am assuming I’m going to finish last in the people who made the cut. |

In my case, this update I had had nothing to do with the game itself and was for something outside of that... although not too long after my system was also looking to update itself and pending a restart. So while the game itself was largely unaffected I think, by how much was likely going on in the background with the game running too the system had a slightly harder time than usual to keep up. |
