Dear TST enthusiasts,
This week the IRL PGA Tour visits Riviera and therefore I’m taking you to… Helsinki!!! 😎😎😎
Riviera has caused many players tantrums over the years and, to be honest, the HB version is simply not suitable for TST. Helsinki on the other hand is lovely, great greens for TST and, interestingly, somehow has a similar vibe. Or I might just be telling myself because I like it so much… 😂😂😂
Anyway, hope you’ll enjoy it too.

Have fun and good luck, Frans After a rather surprising bogey-free -5 in Round 1, you won't hear me complaining (well, not until I start spraying it all over the place in all the other rounds!). I know I'm already going to like this week, seeing this course is a mere 45 minutes away from me and thus making it the closest venue to me I think I could possibly ask to be on tour! There's one place literally within my home town but I don't expect it to ever be in game, or on tour!  And of course, this is the 100th official event for me... surely this was all planned out by our cool scheduler? Can't be a massive coincidence or anything... Welcome to Finland. Enjoy your stay! fransslabak gone soft! This ain't LA. Ya'll Lying! You know when I shoot 7 under par, in the first round, the game is too easy. Missed two straight in putts and could of been easily 10 under par this round. I can only imagine what the top players will shoot here. Most likely 17 under plus per round. My fingers are crossed that the conditions and pins get more difficult. I love the pain of the struggle. More Pain and Struggle please! Give me Riviera, You blankety-blanks! (2 strokes ahead of Meyo to ease my bi-tching and moaning. I prefer Mustard!)

Ok this course has no similarities to Rivera whatsoever but is still fun to play. The greens are very tame and that's a compliment not a complaint  5 under to start but could and should have been better, too many missed short to medium putts. |

What an absolutely beautiful course and a great choice by Frans as Helsinki is almost next door to California if you fold the pages on your Atlas carefully. Nice to have a set up also for us duffers. 11 under at the half way mark and I'm disappointed. Could have been much better. It'll be a pleasure to play the final two rounds.  |

Good call Frans, if it had been Riviera I might have skipped a week lol. What we did get was a pretty interesting course - finished the first two rounds at -11, with two clean cards.
I did feel like I left a handful of shots out there - the breaks were pretty subtle on these greens, so I was overreading for the most part. I suspect my putting numbers, which have been pretty competitive the last few weeks, will be lower in the pack this time around.

I was desperately trying to catch Danny and keep my nose in front of you. Great fun when you have players of similar ability on the leaderboard. |

First tournament in a while so looking forward to this course! |

Thank you Frans for choosing this beautiful course rather than the rather annoying Riviera on offer from HB.
I have always enjoyed this course and my scores reflected that. 14 under at the halfway mark with rounds of -5 and -9. I know there will be some low scores this week, but I don't really care. Play this for myself mostly. A bit selfish I know, but I love it. How often playing anywhere else do you find yourself fist pumping for a par, nowhere.
Appreciate all your work gentleman 👏.

Round 2 was a little more struggle which created a little more fun. Eagle Bogey Birdie Par should be the name of a tavern on some golf course somewhere. And ironically that is what my scorecard was filled with. I got the shakes real bad and muffed up holes 11, 12 and 15 pretty good. Birdied 18 but had a monster 5-inch downhill putt for Eagle that I just missed. I was really happy with the bird because I figured that ball would roll all the way down. Finished the round at 5 under par bringing my tournament to 12 under at the halfway point. I can feel meyo and SkyBlueBen breathing down my neck as they are only one stroke back. Conditions looking much more difficult in round 3 so I'm happy about that. Thanks fransslabak ... I don't like shooting this much under par. Feels Dirty, I feel dirty    |

Hey Ross your getting the hang of it now and that's a great target set at the halfway mark . As you explained grabbing pars and birdies gets a fist punch and is so much more rewarding then the daily grind for birdies on grids . Just to let you know Ross were getting ready for a cross platform league without the aiming marker starting 27th Feb we've a few test events up if your interested and anybody else 2 , it's a great way to play once u get the hang of it , the society's called TRUE SIM:USE Cross Platform, cheers 🍻 |

Rd2 managed a 6 under to stay 1 stroke down of @pen Knight. Started off great with an Eagle and 5 under on the front 9 but struggled with the putter on the back. Off to Rd3....
