I’m not sure if this is the right place for it but I was curious. I believe if one skips a tournament and does not play at all due to some reason (vacation, family emergency, etc.) they get a DNP for the week.
Does this hurt the player at all? Can they just pick up the next week where they left off? Also how many DNP can one have in a season? In other words is there a penalty for skipping too many tournaments?
Thanks for any help y’all can provide.

You can skip as many as you want as long as you don't take to the tee for the 1st round.

I had seen this before from the rules. I just wanted to guarantee there is no penalty for not playing any golf in a single week and that there is no penalty for not playing multiple events. Thanks for the information you guys provided.
