Hi all, as per subject. I only play PGA 2K23 ATM and not interested in other competitive online gaming I have an old GTX970 at 1080p but I'm considering to upgrade to something like the 6650XT/6750XT/3060TI to pair with an i5 12400. At the moment I will not upgrade my monitor (1080P) but you never know Any suggestion ? Thank you Roberto

Even top end CPU's can bottleneck a RTX 3080 at 1080p. Personally I would go for an RTX 3060 if I had your scenario. Fyi I used to have a GTX 970 then I went to a GTX 1080 then a RTX 3080ti and now a RTX 4070ti. The RTX 3060 is a huge upgrade to your 970, you won't be disappointed 😁

Unfortunately in Italy 3060TI is more expensive than 6700XT. Since I'm not a fan of ray tracing I'm considering the RX 6700XT as well. Let's see what the weekend will bring

The RX 6700 XT is a great card and will be more than enough, I'm running a RX 6650 XT at 2560x1440 (1440p) on ultra settings and getting between 125 - 175 fps with a Ryzen 7 CPU.

I just recently built a machine with the same I5-12400 and a 6700XT. I only play at 1080p but the game runs great.

Also if you prefer GeForce cards the regular 3060 (not ti) will run the game fine on 1080p. Prices are pretty decent on those cards. It's not as powerful as the 6700 XT or the 6650 XT but it would easily be enough for this game on 1080p.

Personally I would wait to see what the new mid range of cards are like from AMD and Nvidia. I sold my RTX 3080ti and bought an RTX 4070ti. All I can say is wow, my 3080ti was pulling in 350W and hitting temps of 78 to 80 degrees. The new 40 series cards are so power efficient, my 4070ti is a more powerful card than the 3080ti but averages about 220W and temps under 60 degrees. I used 3D Mark and the most wattage the card pulled when benchmarking was 260W.
