The way they did #8 is terrible. I have no idea what they were thinking there.
Cliff textures really seem off, even with the new rock assets they seem to have used.
#7 seems ok, but from the tips you really don’t have a clear view of the green. That’s not a blind shot in real life.
I wish there was a way to play it without all the AT&T branding.
I think this might end up looking really bad in comparison to the EA version.
Missed opportunity!

B4 I came to work I saw it is rated 5 stars with 2500 plays. After seeing a pic of 8th hole I couldn't see why it would be highly rated. They put out a new course last week and the grid was so bright I quit after two holes. Where is the quality control at 2k/hb? They got our money the last 3 years and if EA produces a good game I think this is it for 2k/hb.

I enjoyed it apart from the 8th,just saw online the 9th not a beach but rock as well, but overall it's what's the majority of players want to play good or bad.
I reckon it would not look great without the branding, but there are other versions just as good without the branding.

There are 2 main things I noticed from Pebble Beach, one good (sort of) and one bad:
1. The new custom items look good, and they add a lot to the environment of the course. If you weren't used to seeing what a well-sculpted and properly surfaced course looked like, you might even say the course looks good. The custom items have that much of an effect. It just goes to show that if they gave us even a small number of new items to work with, we could freshen up the course lineup with a lot of new, unique-looking courses.
2. It's clear that they are hampering themselves by using their course designer to build their licensed courses. They don't know how to properly extract every ounce from the designer like the community does, since we've been hampered with the same designer for years and have had to find unique ways to make it work. They either need better designers working on their official courses, or, gasp, they need to improve the designer to keep up with what EA will be producing.
Right now they are producing mediocre courses, by the community's standards, and then covering them with band-aids by creating and adding custom objects.

Not sure what happened here... The beach is in play at Pebble is it not ?? This is something that became apparent last night when I played another round. Hole 5 (par 3) ended up down on the beach right of the green and it was an OOB. Stuck down at the base of the cliff and could not get back up! Had to take maximum score.

Yes, the beach is in play in real life.

Sounds like they tweaked the Hole 8 rocks a bit.

Maybe it's me but why did they use Rocks in the first place the bit without the rocks to me seems so much better especially with Lidar terrain, maybe they have taken on some new designers. Crowd Placement needs improving as well in my view.

Do you think they went with rocks to stop people getting caught half way down the cliff and stroking out? With rocks, it’s bounce, bounce, moist.

They’ve manipulated the beach sand to keep the beach out of play. Balls slide across it like it’s a sheet of ice. I assume it’s to ensure everything goes in the water.
