This week we head to Warroad Trails by bighockeyguy. We are losing 11 players to the elite tour this week, which could be the most players ever to be promoted in one week to elite, not including promotion weeks of course. Does this mean more room at the top of the leader board for someone that might not normally be there, time will tell but first you need to survive the Warroad trails which see's a increase in green speeds compared to the last few weeks, including one round with max speed greens, only the third round of golf this season with green speeds that fast. i don't think it will affect scoring that much, you guys are improving skill wise all the time but it does mean a little bit more care needs to be taken on that round. So good luck all, have fun and maybe you will be the one of those replacing those 11 at the top of the leader board. |

In all likelihood I won't be one of those 11 to top up the leaderboard, despite making the cut...
-9 in round 1 with 3 eagles, 4 birdies and a bogey. Par 5s I scored at a whopping -1. Drivable 4s in that round -4. That would likely make 2 eagles. What's the third one? Well... this gem I have not seen in a while around these parts.
After that round it looked like I was all set to go into the weekend. Limped in at -3 in round 2, massive pain in the neck since my understanding of very fast greens needs work. Tempo could have been much better as well, knew it was probably going to be bad with an inexplicable very slow, 90 degree angle on the meter from off the tee on hole 1. After hole 17, I was -10 and was seriously looking to choke what looked like a simple made cut after round 1 away, then played 18th hole about as well as I could have and made one heck of an eagle putt to put me to safety... wow, did that need to not be so close though!
That round 2 certainly left a lot of bitter taste in my mouth, hoping to fix it later. Cheers, and good luck!

-8, -3 to finish this bipolar week of mine with -23. Middle of nowhere in the leaderboard.
Played okay in round 3, at least so it felt like. Round 4 went to suffer a slow, grueling death with everything going wrong. At least I finished fairly well after a lot of nothing. That last hole in round 4 though... granted, the expectation on that pin isn't to go for it in 2 but geez... just about saved par there after tempo going everywhere and had to make a 30 something footer!
Not one of my most fun and exciting weeks, my playing didn't really deserve that but at least I got an ace and 5 eagles this week which is way more than most weeks for me. Packing and into next week. Cheers, good luck.
