So I got a message from everyone's favorite plastic paddy irishgolf. I still can't believe someone would lie about being Irish just to get his course on tour and I really shout ignore any calls and messages from him but I wanted to see what he would come up with next, I was expecitng something like that he had bought out the admins of tgctours and now that he was running the tours, we have to only use his courses. But no, he just wanted to talk about this weeks event. He said because BB King is from Misississiispppy that he had to perfect course to use this week, a course that is based in Missssisssisppy. So I thought to myself, the geography snobs that play this game have gotten on my back so many times for using courses that look nothing like the area the event is being played, that it would get them off my back for one week, and it would also save me the hassle of searching for a course this week, a win win situation all round. So I agreed to use he course for this weeks event but since this weeks event is named after BB King, I wanted to course to have a musical name. So many great musicians have come from that part of the world, beside Mr King himself, there was Elvis Presley, Tammy Wynette, Sam Cooke and then there is the Misssssiiisssippppy Delta Blues with people like Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, Howlin Wolf, so many options for a course name. He told me he would not leave me down and I was excited for my first visit to the course and to see the sign over the gates. Imagine my disappointment when I saw the name Yazoo Country Club, he had named the course after a English synth-pop band, about as far away from the music the area is know for as possible. I agree that Alison Moyet has a stunning voice but that was not what I meant when the course should have a musical name, technically he did what I asked of him but come on, common sense and the name of the event should have given it away. To late to change it now, at least that is the bad surprise out of the way, there cant be anything else can there? Like leaving a big @!$# you tree in the middle of the 6th fairway, naw that can't happen.
