That 5th hole pin placement in rd 1 was brutal , had a birdie from 4ft ended up double bogey and a double swear up 🤬🤬 Round 3 Pin Placements are not nice and the overcast is killing my mood. I literally have to put my brightness up to 80 and I usually run it at 20! Sorry about the light - will be better next week! |

No worries. Actually, I wasn't complaining. Overcast supposed to make you feel miserable. Course was tough but worth it to watch Colby Rage Quit live on stream lol. Personally, I like the course but I like Riveria in True Sim Mode too but I'm twisted like that. |

It's a shame the lighting is so poor in the game. I set up conditions for certain things in The Brew Crew and it's a great shame to have to avoid certain scenario's like Dawn, Dusk, Overcast etc. I'd love to be able to use them but you just know the moaning minnie's (like Pen and me) will come out of the woodwork!  |

I watched that, and can't blame him for being upset, that was a really sketchy pin placement considering the speed. Maybe he'll come back and pick up where he left off with a fresh perspective. He's good enough to still get to the top of the leadeboard with what, 64 holes left to play? |

Plenty of other players took 7, 8 or 9 on that hole and many players got par or birdie. 12 holes out of 18, on that course, are currently playing over par so far in this tournament. |

Still trying to figure out how I got a par there - what happened to Colby seems to happen to me a lot in True Sim. I'm guessing I put my approach under the hole and my lag putt was close.

Plenty of other holes on this course similar to that one. For instance, the second par 3 on the front nine is a monster pin on the third round. If you don't hit it just right you are down the hill on the bottom of the green or you are out of bounds on the other side. Even if you hit the rough near the left or back of the hole you have an impossible chip as it will fall down the hillside once you chip back slightly past the hole. Course is tough and it's playing tough. I find it very easy to be 2 to 5 under par on this course and all of a sudden have two or three blow up holes in a row and never get under par again or recover. It's a total Mind F---! I mean that in a good way though. I hope Frans keeps 'em coming and doesn't give us easy peasy for the next 4 weeks just because people struggled or cried about "overcast". |

Love this course, and this is maybe the best 2K has done on recreating a real course. The po anna greens got me bad (5th in round 1 was the worst). +7 then +4. It's not you Torrey, it's me. Onward! Played round 3 at night in a darkened room, so the overcast was not so bad. Best round of the event for me. +1 Round 4 played shortly afterwards and probably should not have. +5 and THAT is with a chip in iggle on the last. Onward! |

Total choke job in round 4 - was sitting at -14 coming in, missed a few tempos and had two doubles in the first three holes.
I had a few bad breaks on the remainder of the front nine, so was playing out of the sand constantly. Ended up rage playing the back 9 - finished with a +7, for a -7 overall.
I really need to get in the habit of just getting up and walking away for a bit when things are spiraling. 😄😄

So far, nothing super interesting of note from me this week.
Pair of -3s to start this week of hell for me, I really don't like this course but I'm no quitter or skipper. Sometimes you just get courses you're not going to like, but in order to get better you have to take them head on. Of course, since this is the first year being an official course instead of a recreation, maybe it's going to be okay this year, yes?
Well imagine my fear when I see and read that one particular pin is causing a lot of uproar and rage quitting from unusual sources. Hmm... would this be a bad time to mention that pin was not where I putted the most that round? I only took 2 for par, first putt from 27 on the right... breaks like a mf'er to the left but... was it really that bad or did I just get lucky? I don't know.
Other than that: 5 birds, 2 bogeys both rounds. Second round probably had my most notable incident so far: internet cutoff after hole 9. Came back, having already secured par after needing to scramble and then had to start off again from a worse spot. Still saved par so thank god I don't have to complain that I got robbed a shot. Would have just made me question whether this week is a big conspiracy against some people barely hanging on in their flights (*cough cough* me *cough*... and speaking of which, intriguing and perfect time for the demo mark requirement to get dropped down to go down, just as a struggle course comes along for me to make me have to play at least fairly well to avoid demotion...) but hey. I was ready to at least prepare for the inevitable this week, now I'm playing against the inevitable.

I understand and it takes a lot for me to calm the F down and try not to do that. My Tournament didn't go as nice as yours as I was working from behind the entire time. A couple times I got it down to +4 in round 3 but was unable to capitalize and gain momentum. I fought tooth and nail to try to shoot under par in these rounds and barely got into the clubhouse with a -1 on round 4. I missed the water by 3 feet on my second shot into the green (whew!). Anyways I shot +1 in round three and -1 in round four to finish the tournament where I finished round two at +6. I just couldn't take the pressure. Try again next week. Finished my first event and after a battle with my old friend Torrey, managed an under par 4th round, which I was slightly stunned by. Not without some drama on the 18th after telling myself to 'keep it together', then driving into the bunker and then shanking it out of bounds. Scrambled a bogey and kept it under par for the round.
A final score of +6, which I'll certainly take after being +4 after 18.
Loving TST. Good luck people still battling away out there!

Nice to see everyone still here and some new folks. I've been out for the last 6 tourneys with major eye strain problems-couldn't look at a computer for just as long. I'm healing up now after seeing a doctor but really rusty. I was gonna skip this week too since I've only played one round in the last 2 months - with 2 hours left before the deadline I practiced the first 3 holes and nailed a 79 yarder for eagle, then 2 more birdies so I thought I'd give it a go.
Was up and down the first round - 6 birdies, 5 bogies for a 71 (-1). More consistent in the second round - 3 birdies, 3 bogeys. I switched my prototype to long hitter but my driving is awful - only around 33%, green % and putting was average. I'm just glad my scores counted, I finished 7 minutes before the deadline. lol
