Welcome to Sapphire Cove. My entrant into the Rookie design competition. This course is set just off the Southern island of New Zealand. The front 9 holes will take you from the oceanside clubhouse up to the lighthouse point and then wraps around the cove. The back 9 holes will take you to the high point of the course where many holes hug the Sapphire lake before bringing you back down to the ocean. All are welcome. Please enjoy your round (sorry for the picture quality - the high res photos I took would not convert from the phone to the email due to file size - these are the only ones that would)

Don't really have time to give this a huge hole-by-hole review, but just wanted to let you know I really enjoyed playing it. Certain holes have a bunch of options off the tee which I like and is something I personally need to work on and improve. Course was fair, nothing crazy or annoying about any of the holes. Just nice, clean, and enjoyable. Would definitely play it again with some of my buddies. Nice work man.

GeneCreemers thanks for the comments. How you described it was exactly my mindset when doing the course 👍

Chewwie, just manager to play here today. This is really fun. Your planting is fairly minimalist but it's really effective, and I live the way you've used the light and shadows to frame your shots. It's a very good course.

fargo thanks for that. Yeah once I settled on a Highland landscape, I wanted to do a tree-less course. It was challenging, as some trees could have helped with better framing off some tees
