Quick question….. If your timing/path is good, does this result in a better outcome on lie percentage range. Hope it makes sense!!

Do you mean the way the ball comes out rather than the actual range given? I find poorly hit shots will sometimes go much further or much shorter than the percentage (depending if I hit fast or slow). So, my helpful answer is, maybe.

Lie percentage range tightens with better fittings. It tells you what percentage you will hit the ball with a perfect so if you are hitting fasts and slows it will dramatically multiply outside this range.

Thanks all, it’s a little clearer now. With good fittings does the range get much narrower?

Some players thought that fittings gave them a better lie in the rough. The lie is the same whether you have fittings or not. As stated previously, the fittings narrow the window that the game gives you to 'guesstimate' what your lie percentage is.
So the shot might ultimately be a 77% lie, but without fittings your window would be 70% - 85% but with the fittings applied you might see 75% - 80%.
The fittings just help you have a better gauge to what the actual lie will be.

So lets say you have a lie range of 78-88% and your timing is perfect does that mean you will get 88%? Bad timing = 78%?

No. It takes a random number between 78 and 88.
That said, in my experience that won't apply to pitches, flops, chips. If you have, say, 32 yards to go, you have a similar lie range and your LW usually flops 40 from a good lie, you're probably going to airmail the green if you make allowances for the lie and decide to hit it close to full. The lie range seems to behave quite differently from the rough when you're using wedges than it does with longer clubs.
